We absolutely love coming here. I will say now after coming probably 10 times or so... I'm no longer going to come here for dinner. The value just isn't worth it. We spent $100 a person and were still hungry when we got home. You just can't get anything substantial enough for a full dinner worth the price. Highly recommend for drinks and small bites though! I think it's one of the best bar programs in Seattle.

Our group of four had a delightful evening. We loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The best reason to come to Bar Sur Mer though is the creative cocktails and delicious small plates. Excellent oysters and clams along with perfectly prepared mackerel convince us that we need to return and try other choices. Loved the cheesecake to end the fine evening!

I wanted to try this place for a while and finally managed to treat ourselves down there . The interior design is very enjoyable , calm, relaxing and tastefully done . The food was good without being something to write more about but the drinks were delicious . This place being a « tapas » small plate kind of plate I would highly recommend it for appetizers or a romantic getaway , I’ll rate it 5 stars as it’s a really nice spot to have around and I really enjoyed it .

This PLACE IS SUCH A VIBE ? from the seating to the music.The atmosphere near the bar is so relaxingThe plants really bring the energy!Oh did I mention they cook right next to the bar so it’s kinda open to see.. you’ll have this nice selections on the menu to pick thru!They’ll bring them out little by little and when I say they are packing a punch of different flavors I mean it it? These are a few things I picked thru ? shoutout to the owners this is a fire spot ???

What a great addition to Greenwood area. Menu creative and excellent. Cocktails superb also. Very much appreciate being able to make a reservation and noise level for a bar still allowed for conversation Service very attentive
Amazing food, service friendly and attentive. Food took a bit longer than usual to arrive, but not annoyingly so. Ambience great. Not too loud. Worth going for the cocktails alone! Portions small. Will definitely go again. Hada great time!

Sorry to say, a bit overpriced for what you get. Very small portions, flavors seemed off, nothing memorable. Drinks were okay. Ambiance was perfect and service was mostly good. Not somewhere I'd return
So over priced . I wish it was different . It's like Canlis prices for 1/4 the amount of food . “Shared plate” Was one scallop and a small bowl of clams . That's absolutely ridiculous. You need to lower price or up the quantity . So many other places offer same prices for apps but much more food. You need to know what else is out there . Wasn't a fan of the $15 cocktails either .
The plates are unique, very creatively assembled, exquisite presentation, and wonderfully tasty. We chose the hongos, scallops, sardines, lamb and octopus. All glorious! My cocktail was exceptional. The staff is friendly, warm and competent. The ambiance is elegant but warm and approachable. There's everything to love is this restaurant. Will definitely come back.
Food was amazing but service left much to be desired. We had a reservation but were sat 25 minutes after our reservation time. Usually not a big deal, but they sat walk in groups that came in after us first. Our server messed up our order and my husband's food came out a good half hour after everything else. We then sat for 20 minutes waiting for the check after our server disappeared. So while the kitchen and bar staff is excellent, the wait staff needs to improve

Loved the octopus (best I’ve ever had), clams and beef tartar, for cocktails the NY sour was good. Review only gets 4 stars because the bread appetizer was a miss and for some of the portion sizes (the papas) I didn’t feel justified the cost.

The Jamon Iberico, octopus, oysters, espresso martini, NY sour, and sea senorita were excellent. The langskip was too fishy, the saridnha toast was flavorless, and the basque cheesecake was burned and flavorless. Have had much better overall experiences for the same price. Overall, would come back here for a laid back date night if not too hungry.
