Creative tasting menu and fun pairings which included cider.

Food was decent but not what I was expecting from the reputation of this place. Uneven and not very interesting. Salad a salt bomb and not the freshest. My onglet had a nice beefy taste, but under salted. I don’t usually care about service, but it was especially bad with multiple tables around me commenting. My server was perfectly nice, but it just wasn’t a warm or comfortable experience. My drink and water were empty and first course finished for about 10-15 mins before anyone noticed. One server came and offered a menu, then another came and took a drink order. The first server returned with the menu and when I explained and apologized(!) that I had just put an order in, she scoffed and walked away without a word. It feels tired and past its prime. My least favorite meal among many great ones during a Seattle visit.

What a monumental waste of $500.My partner and I expected a night of culinary delight at this highly touted steakhouse, but what we got was a train wreck on a plate. The evening's lowlight was a bizarre hot dog tartine, which bore an unsettling resemblance to a urinal cake in both appearance and, distressingly, in taste. As if that wasn't off-putting enough, the main event - two steak selections- proved to be a rubbery, flavorless disappointment. Each chew felt like a tiresome battle with a bland piece of leather, leaving us bewildered and regretful. From start to finish, the experience was an overpriced ordeal lacking any semblance of the luxury or culinary craftsmanship one would expect at such an exorbitant price point. This steakhouse not only failed to deliver on its promises but also managed to turn what should have been an amazing dining experience into a memorable fiasco. After sharing our concerns with the floor manager we received a 5% discount and an eyeroll. We won't be returning.

I have sensory issues and they accommodated my needs, which is a huge deal. We got put in an area that was a little more private and I appreciate them taking the time to do that. Food was excellent and well thought out, steaks were cooked to perfection, and wine choices were superb. We went for my mothers birthday and they gave her a small candle and a hand written card. Staff wished her happy birthday and were nothing but kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. There were so many thoughtful touches to our meal it made the night truly special. This is hands down the best restaurants in Seattle.

We dined here with our kids and it was an amazing evening. The food was great, the chef made accommodations for my wife’s allergies, servers were top notch and the subtle music playlist elevated the evening. Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

Delicious food, amazing service, steak are yummy, so are all other things, especially dessert (we got 2 donuts and plum sorbet). A delightful meal. I’d suggest making reservations in advance. They also have a tasting menu for $125 pp, might check that out for future.

The food was delicious, but the atmosphere was awful. It was so loud and we were packed in. I could hear all of the conversations happening all over the restaurant and had a headache by the time I left.I would expect a nicer atmosphere when the price was so unbelievably high.

I had the tasting menu. Bateau is of course famous for their wide menu of beef cuts, but since I was eating alone, most of them were too big. And it turns out (they don't tell you this) that the tasting menu gives you two different cuts, one more tender, the other more tasty.Surprise! The non steak dishes were as good as the steak! Nice variety, nicely composed. They only have four red wines by the glass -- I wish they'd have more -- but I've got to say that the Cahors was one of the best I've ever had, and the St Émilion was also good.

They are trying really hard here and that is commendable. Though I was really disappointed in the lack of flavor in the steak. Also, they served it pre-cut which sounds like an abomination at any respectable steak house. For their price point, I would skip this one. Plenty of other high end steak places in town with a better experience.

I truly cannot say WOW enough! The staff here is attentive, caring and committed to detail. The meals are nothing short of exquisite. This was an 11/10 experience only rivalled by the last time I dined at Nobu. We loved it.Bonus points: our server learned that we had a less than stellar dining experience at another Seattle restaurant the night before. They brought us a list of BOH + FOH's favorite restaurants so we could have another amazing meal tomorrow before we head home. That level of service is hard to match. Thank you, Bateau Crew. It was a very special night.

This was by far the WORST steakhouse I have EVER been to. The steak (filet mignon) was cooked horribly, had no taste or flavor, and it took 3 hours to get out of there because the waitress forgot about us.

Really salty and cheap preparation for the tasting menu. Desert is even just cookies, the table beside also got surprised by the salty food. I doubt where the good reviews come from. Definitely will avoid and wont recommend in the future.

The place is beautiful, not crowded for a weekday, I loved that the music was not loud and I could listen to the person nearby. Make sure to make a reservation earlier. We went around 9 pm, and most meat cuts were sold out. We went adventurous and picked two types of beefs we had never heard about. It wasn't a good choice. But they were perfectly cooked. The cocktails were perfect they only offered the traditional ones. Service and staff impeccable. I would come back to try meat cuts that I am more familiar with. If you have a meat fanatic person, I would definitely recommend this place. Tartare was delicious and super fresh it was the highlight of the meal. Aligot was good, I felt the portion was big, and the flavor of the cheese was very strong, overpowering the mash potatoes.I've never had one before, so I don't know if this is normal for an aligot, I would imagine yes due to the amount of cheese on it. Lovely experience, would recommend for a romantic date, French vibes.
