I had the tasting menu. Bateau is of course famous for their wide menu of beef cuts, but since I was eating alone, most of them were too big. And it turns out (they don't tell you this) that the tasting menu gives you two different cuts, one more tender, the other more tasty.Surprise! The non steak dishes were as good as the steak! I truly cannot say WOW enough! The staff here is attentive, caring and committed to detail. The meals are nothing short of exquisite. This was an 11/10 experience only rivalled by the last time I dined at Nobu. We loved it.Bonus points: our server learned that we had a less than stellar dining experience at another Seattle restaurant the night before. They brought us a list of BOH + FOH's favorite restaurants so we could have another amazing meal tomorrow before we head home....read full review

The food was delicious, but the atmosphere was awful. It was so loud and we were packed in. I could hear all of the conversations happening all over the restaurant and had a headache by the time I left.I would expect a nicer atmosphere when the price was so unbelievably high.
