Service super awkward with a forgetful server. Needed to remind him several times on every order/ drinks bread, entrees. The next table to us didn't get their food in time and had to get a to-go bag.. it speaks to the awkward service. Food portion has increased. But quality is not what it used to be. It seems Ed like there has been a change in the philosophy of the restaurant.

Disappointment

The food was nothing exceptional. We sat 20 min with no drink (the place was empty at 5pm) after we finally received our cocktails, it took 30 minutes for an appetizer then our salad to be served and they didn't bring out the Focaccia we ordered to be served with the salad. My husband didn't care for his pasta entree so we decided to leave. $170 bucks for snobby service and a meal we could've made at home was not our idea of “Seattle's most romantic and authentic Italian food”. We ended up ordering a pizza after we left.

Came here for my birthday dinner and honestly left pretty disappointed. The ambiance was fantastic, but the service was really bad. I don't love writing bad reviews, but when you're trying to enjoy a special occasion, poor service hits harder. From wait times to missed orders and mistakes, the evening was just a bit frustrating. We had to ask for focaccia 3 times before it actually came out and they completely missed one of the main entrees leaving one member of our party waiting while the rest of us ate. Sadly, I can't say I'll be coming back, despite the great ambiance and fun location.

What a gem of a find! Just when I thought downtown Seattle didn't really have an Italian option, we discovered this.

Best place in town for a nightcap! A great bar with a wonderful atmosphere, right in the heart of town. One of the few market spots always filled with locals!

Wannabe Italian for tourists. Pretend-italian menus , but rude and grumpy service. Would not recommend although the food was quite good.

The fish special was quite good. However, my wife and one of our guests ordered the chicken Parmesan. Its only redeeming value was the volume of food, but that doesn't say much for it. It would be far better to have a well prepared dish than one so massive.

Such a lovely romantic spot to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday! Martinis were well made, antipasti plate and caprese salad were tasty starters (we had our salad without the prosciutto since I'm pescatarian). Entrees were amazing-.New York steak cooked perfectly medium rare and a delicious salmon special served on a bed of fresh vegetables with a delicious mushroom sauce. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

Service is simply outstanding. Don't let the casual atmosphere and view of the Post Alley gum wall fool you. This is a stellar restaurant with outstanding wait and bar staff. There was no moment where we felt the least bit under served. And this was a Friday evening with a full house and bar. Go there. It's worth it.

I cannot speak highly enough about Il Bitstro. I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have been superb. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel at home. I am incredibly impressed with the service staff, especially since it was only our servers second night at this restaurant. He was incredibly knowledgeable with the menu and was very personable. We even got to speak with the server who was training him, who was also incredibly nice. She had served us before and she is also a fabulous server. The support staff’s attention to deal was superb, especially with how they packed up our food in nicely folded bags. The food was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were incredible! We talked with the manager. She was passionate, friendly, and clearly cared about the staff. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. I can’t wait to come back.
