Went here with a group of friends. I was reluctant after hearing how it used to have a not excellent food rating, and these reviews of people being food poisoned. I'm not from the USA so I found this place to be weird.Really rude reception, like a character out of that Portlandia tv show, and the food was really disappointing for the price. They also put a weird extra fee on the bill. The venue is really gorgeous and the music was lovely although way too loud. It could be so great. Not sure why they keep having food quality issues (replace the chef?).

Food was excellent. On the pricey side, and I don't like the additional 5% "living wage" surcharge that is separate from the posted costs, but service was good, friendly, providing nice suggestions for dish choices.

I am very grateful to the guys working there, they were very attentive and tried to help us when the number of our guests turned out to be more than booked

Giving the staff & restaurant notice of my shellfish/crustacean allergies ahead of time was a waste. The kitchen didn't want to accommodate my allergies with the fried chicken andouille soup (soup made with shrimp soup base), the side potatoes (cooked with shrimp oil), and the beignets (cross contamination with the oils). The server kept telling me the kitchen couldn't accommodate my allergies after asking if the kitchen could substitute the cooking oil. She didn't even go to ask the kitchen staff, just told me it couldn't be done. The food lacked luster and there was a $4 charge for ‘living wage' fee on top of the bill. The staff did provide free dessert after not being satisfied with the food, but it was all too sweet and not worth it. Don't waste your time or energy finding parking coming here.

This is such a good restaurant. I’ve worked my way through the menu and so far it’s all very good. The cheese plate is one of my favorites. The French onion soup wonderfully different and great. The lamb is outstanding. The rockfish my favorite. Brunch is also great. Parking is difficult. You have to park in the public lot down the street by Dick’s.

Terrible experience. We expected fine dining French cuisine but received a well-done steak. The replacement was a smaller cut already sliced, just to show us it was meduim rare. Who ever heard of serving steak that is pre sliced?! Additionally, we were relocated after seating because we didn't order alcohol. Why didn'tthey mention it in the first place? Or at least ask if that was okay? Surprise: a 20% tip was added without notice - they didn't mention it anywhere on the menu or in person. We didn't think they deserved such a large sum for such a poor service. Disgusted by the service and lack of transparency. Won't return or recommend.

Extensive menu. All seven of us liked what we got. Cool ambiance. Good service. Reasonable prices for good food.

The Creole 'Lucy' with Spicy Wild Shrimp & house made Andouille with Crawfish over Creamy Corn Grits is to die for. Fresh oysters on the half-shell is always a good way to get your taste buds ready for the culinary delights served at Toulouse Petit. Thank-you

Split beignets and a scramble with 2 coffees $60. Good meal, but if you're charging $24 for an egg plate - how about homemade bread & jam included? Would not likely return because of price - beignets and yummy dipping sauce most memorable.

Our food arrived cold and orders were not correct. It took a long time for the waitress to come back or get refill on coffee. Overall I thought it would be a great spot to take my family but it was loud, crowded, and the food was not impressive.

We love this restaurant! Have been here twice and both visits were excellent. This trip, we went on a week night and there looked to be no wait though we had made an online reservation which I highly suggest. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive but not overly so, giving us time to converse and peruse the enormous number of options for dinner. He gave us recommendations for cocktails and dinner and knew when we were ready to order. Timing of food was impeccable and everything was temperature correct. We started with the scallops appetizer which impressed us by the sheer size of the scallops and doubly impressed with the taste of that dish. Then for the main entree I ordered the Wagyu (American not Japanese) sirloin. I'm not as partial to the American as to the Japanese but this dish was very good. Portion size here is excellent and I barely had room for the French press coffee and benets which we had a hard time finishing between the two of us. Honestly, I can't imagine not coming here again. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: Leave your children at home

My filet was perfect - buttery and accompanied by a tasty reduction. My mezcal drink was flavorful but not too sweet or smokey. The service was great. My only complaint was the $16 bib lettuce with pistachio salad - it looked beat up and although the vinaigrette dressing was fine, the salad lacked luster. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I recommend dining at Toulouse!
