First and also last time at this place. They're gonna close this location in downtown Seattle soon. A small cozy sushi restaurant that sells very fresh and good quality sushi. 40$ for this Chirashi bowl but look at those pieces, they're very thick with lots of variety. I highly recommend checking them out and soon.

One of my favorites but hard to get into. Great selection of sushi but also many wonderful Japanese dishes from soba noodle to ramen to specials.

Excellent and fresh cuts for sushi and sashimi! Will be going back soon! Hurry and get there before 12/11/2022, their planned closing date at the current location. They're supposed to open two new restaurants by 2023. See attached photo taken at the restaurant.

Some of the best quality sushi in Seattle. I really like getting their Tsukushi sushi set as it has a good mix of different nigiri. They will be closing on December 11 so come by before then! Also I would recommend calling ahead of time to make a reservation as it can get really full.

We found this place on a whim and figured we’d give it a shot. I saw reviews that recommended a reservation so we made a back-up plan in case they couldn’t seat us as a walk in. Thankfully since there were only 2 of us and it was later on a Sunday night we were able to seated. We did ask the waitress and she recommended in the future to call a day or two in advance to make a reservation just to ensure you have a place. Now the food. So so good. My husband ordered the curry udon with pork belly and I had the tempura shrimp/vegetable udon and both were wonderful. Hot, fresh, so full of flavor…you could tell they know what they are doing. We ordered the gyoza as well and it was also delicious. The only real con was that it can get loud in the restaurant as everyone is seated fairly close together, especially if people have had a lot to drink. We didn’t order the sushi but what we saw looked good. Overall it’s definitely worth a try!

It was pretty good!We came here for an early Sunday dinner and was impressed! The place is kind of hard to find because of the subtle sign, but super easy to find parking in the area.I would highly recommend the nigiri and sashimi here. The onigiri and sushi rolls were just okay, nothing super special in my opinion. The service was also really good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server also had the chef make us some off menu items based on what we liked.I don’t think any other sushi place in Seattle comes close in terms of the value you get here!

We had delicious service and sushi. This was such an amazing restaurant for my partner and I. I do not think I have ever had such good smoked salmon before. Wonderful service and wonderful food.

This was by far our favorite place to eat on our trip to Seattle. I happened to find it down the street from the hotel we were staying at on maps and figured we would give it a shot. It did not disappoint!! First, I love how there do not have any signage on the outside. It makes it feel like a secret little place that only locals might know about. Second the atmosphere and aesthetic of the place is perfect. While it is small, it is very cozy. Third, the food is DELICIOUS! We loved everything we tried and were already planning to make sure we come back here if we find ourselves in the city again!

I thought the sushi were ok, but the hot food (kinoko tofu and soft shell karaage) were good. However, this was all before the server spilled the tofu dish on us, and all we got was a verbal apology and a clumsy clean-up. I left dinner feeling annoyed and still had to clean my clothes and shoes after getting home? Not a good experience…

gaming that is a pro gamer food Seriously though, I came here with my family and dined out for vacation. I ordered Marine Sushi and the delivery was very fast. However, some of the other orders were not delivered as speedy. Fortunately, the wait was worth it, as each meal was both appetizing and left you craving for more. The decor was very nice and complimented the simple design of the location. Also, the location is kind of in a blind spot, as there is no flashy title saying 'EAT HERE' in bright neon lights. I would recommend coming early, around 6:30-7:00 if you want to beat the influx of people. To sum it all up, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. - Doggo

Sho and his team took very good care of us! We took every seat available. I counted we had 30-ish people there. I only took a few photos. This is my favorite Sushi ? place and it will be yours too!

My boyfriend and I got the Nigiri Omakase - an intimate experience with the chef who cuts and curates the nigiri to your liking. We tried over twelve types of fish, with handrolls and other treats sprinkled in between. Sho was our chef who talked about his thirteen years in sushi, who he learned from, and the history of the restaurant. Overall, worth every penny and a perfect date night!

Really good, unassuming sushi and typical Japanese izakaya eats. I guess it's not really an unknown place given how long it's been around but I've been in Seattle for over a decade, definitely am on the lookout for great Japanese food, and for some reason I've only just discovered Tsukushinbo! Now, the first impressions walking in here are not the greatest. The outside is completely unmarked which isn't bad (kind of adds some intrigue to the place) but as soon as you walk in you're greeted with that smell that can only come from years and years of cooking oil inundated in the walls. My server was functional and not particularly Personality Plus. I was thinking "off to a rough start here!" But it was all uphill from there. We ordered a variety of things that were all delicious. Tuna and particularly Otoro nigiri were all extremely fresh and perfectly sized; made me forget about the awful toro I'd had Kappo Tamura a week earlier. We also had some soba and tempura that were quite nice but not quite, say, Kamonegi-nice. Really worth a call out however was their preparation of Okonomiyaki - it was in omelet form, packed full of cabbage and pork, and so savory. I also had some really nice junmai sake to pair with the whole meal. It was a little on the pricey side at the end of the meal but worth. Recommended!

We visited from out of town. After a long day of walking around, me and the wife wanted a sit down and enjoy some good food. I called to make reservations in advance. We were lucky they accommodated the short notice. Regarding the menu, rather than ordering the omakase, we ordered the sushi we wanted vs. being surprised by the chef. We ordered 12 different nigiris. It was just as good, if not better, than several omakase spots in the Bay Area. The waiter gave great recommendations on seasonal nigiri choices, as well. The last time I was in Seattle was 5 years ago, if I'm back in another 5 years I'll definitely swing by again!
