This place is really popular. I was there a little before 11:30 & there was already a line forming outside of the restaurant. When ordering, I got a free side with Yelp Check-in. Their portion is pretty big and I couldn't finish all my food. Their Chicken tender is really juicy & tender! Fries are crunchy & good!!! There's a small parking plaza where you can parK your car (parking can be packed). I found parking easily since I got there pretty early. I highly recommend this place.

Great location for Korean food. The staff was sociable and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I liked.

My favorite place for quality Korean food. Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. Definitely worth a return trip.

Nice little buffet-style Korean food bar located in the food court underneath the 5th Ave Theater in Downtown. How it works is that you choose a box from 3 different sizes, and get whatever and however much food you want as long as it fits within that box. It's a fast and easy method. Not that hungry? Grab a smaller box and don't worry about overpaying or wasting food. Starving like I was? Grab their biggest box and fill it to the brim! Your $10.95 can go a long way here. As for the actual food itself, it's pretty good. Some of their options include sushi, spam musubi, spring rolls, kimchi rice, japchae noodles, chicken wings, and so much more. They also have a bunch of different Korean toppings and sauces. The food quality itself was what you'd expect from a buffet, where quantity is more important than quality, but the quality was good enough. My favorite item was definitely the japchae - super yummy! I also would like to commend them on their service. The cashier was very helpful explaining how their system works, as well as recommending what toppings and sauces to try. My only complaint with Umma's is that some of the hot foods I had were on the warmer side, especially the chicken wings. I wish they could use some heating system that allows for the food to remain hot overtime, or at least hot enough to have at a safe level. Overall, it's a perfect spot for a fast and easy lunch if you're craving some Korean food!

Really good value, and I always love a buffet where you get to choose lots of different items. I think the food itself is hit or miss. You have to know which items are going to be good, so it'll probably be more enjoyable as a second time meal (now that I know what to fill my box with). For about $11 though I could fill the large box with as much food as I could, and honestly it was two meals worth!

Umma's is the bomb! $8 for all-the-food-you-can fit into a 16 oz to-go container. Delicious Korean deli-style food. Kimchi rice, chapchae, spicy pork/chicken, salads, rolls. Delicious and reasonable!

I want to spend a day video taping this place and then sell that video out to other QSRs on how service should look. The guy behind the counter was awesome. So much enthusiasm and pride in the product. The product deserves pride, too. All the meats were nicely cooked, veggies were fresh and rice was tasty. It's an insanely good deal for the all you can fill large bowl, too. I usually only give reviews when things suck, but this was so incredibly well executed for a little place in a basement that I had to devote some time to sing their praises.

Go to lunch spot with fresh made Korean food - buffet style. The owner is super friendly and offers a discount if you bring back your container. "You save a dollar for being green!" :)

BEST THING WE ATE IN SEATTLE! GREAT KOREAN FOOD AT GREAT PRICES! Food: 5, Value: 5, Atmosphere: 2, Service: 5 Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, Umma's Lunch Box is the perfect choice for nearby workers and tourists alike when looking for an authentic local fast casual dining experience. The man who works the counter (he acts as though he may be the owner as well) exhibits the height of professionalism. He warmly greets each guest and welcomes them with an efficient explanation of the dishes offered at Umma's along with a generous free sample of their choosing. Umma's is tucked away in a food court next to a theatre and is a little difficult to find from the outside, but is worth the search. It is buffet style and you pay for the size of container you want. Once you pick a container, they do not weigh or care how much or what you put in it. The employee even told us the lid doesn't need to close so we could heap up as much as we wanted! The containers cost anywhere from $6-10 and are $1-2 cheaper if you come during their happy hour (end of the day from 2:30-3:30pm). They will also give you a dollar off or a free soda during happy hour if you bring back your container to reuse. The food was also incredible! They have a small first section with more "cold" items such as sushi, spam musubi, and rice paper spring rolls. the second section is the "hot items" that comes with a simple fried rice, a noodle, and two types of meat: spicy pork and chicken. The third section is a toppings bar with ~10 different toppings to customize your dish. They also have a special dish every day that can vary from popcorn shrimp, tempura shrimp, fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, etc. Despite the limited selection, the food they do have tastes incredible! The rice and noodles complement the flavors of the meat perfectly. I preferred the spicy pork the best as it had a great tangy, savory flavor with the right amount of heat. I heaped up my container so much, it was really two whole meals for me! It was so good we came back another day during their happy hour. I recommend coming as close to two as possible because they do not refill the buffet at happy hour, so what you see is what you get. The employees are super nice though and if they notice you didn't get to fill up your container enough or had very limited selection they will often throw in a free drink or give you a discount. Overall incredible tasting food at an incredible price with phenomenally nice staff. Would highly recommend coming here the next time you are in Seattle. I know I will!

Great food for a very good price especially during happy hour. The sesame spinache is superb. Will definitely go here again. The only thing hard is finding parking.

Really good food, decent vegetarian options, and the service is incredibly friendly and helpful--the last bit not being something I typically expect from a buffet place. You can get discounts for reusing your takeout container on a second visit, as well as a happy hour discount for coming just before closing. My go-to spot when I forget to bring lunch from home.
