Very special experience. One of the best omakase in Seattle and even other cities we’ve been to. Service was great and food was unbelievable. Loved it and they also did a wonderful birthday surprise with flowers and a plaque. Very nice.

Overall this is not worth the price. The experience is very commercial, in a way that they got all the elements on environment, friendly service, ingredient, even stories for food, but the most important thing is missing - chef’s ability to deal with good ingredients and cook. The taste of food and the presentation of food was very basic, and they put it in some expensive cutlery to ask for 300 usd per person. After the experience you can tell they are just here to make your money, with bare love and professionalism on cooking.

My dining experience at Wa'z was delightful, largely thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Linh, our server. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. The food at Wa'z was consistently good across most of the courses we tried. Each dish was well-prepared and delicious, showcasing the skill of the kitchen staff. However, one area where I believe the restaurant could improve is in its ambiance. While the food and service were exceptional, the overall atmosphere could benefit from more decoration to create a more inviting environment for diners. Overall, I would highly recommend Wa'z for its great customer service, consistently good food, and welcoming atmosphere. It's a fantastic dining destination for any occasion.

Wa'z is amazing and definitely worth it! It was our first time trying kaiseki. The pacing is a little bit slower than that of sushi-focused omakase. Nevertheless, the overall experience was fun and the food was delicious. It was nice to learn about setsubun and fun to eat ehomaki in the direction of good luck! Lots of on-street paid parking (download paybyphone app).

Food was amazing, Chef Hiro and his staff put great care into creating a dining experience that is truly memorable. My wife and I had the February seasonal menu, which featured a spectrum of flavor profiles, from the tear-inducing simplicity of otoro and chutoro nigiri to the more complex celery root soup with king crab, caviar and lemon peel, which evokes comfort and warmth, but with an overall flavor that is nearly impossible to find an analogue for. The wagu served here is some of the best I've ever tasted, and some of chef Hiro's other creations, such as the opening tofu salad or the mid-course flounder topped with monkfish liver and ponzu puree are the types of dishes you continue thinking about days about consuming them. My wife and I are excited to try Wa'z again and will be back at some point to try other seasonal creations from chef Hiro.

The meal was lovely. When we got to the Waygu coarse the 3 pieces they served were not edible. Must have been wrong cut. I couldn't chew through it as much as I tried. I also had the same experience with the sashimi dish. A few pieces of the fish were not chewable. Otherwise skillfully prepared and served. Delicious.

a great fine-dining experience that is both refined and personable. the head chef took the time to share the stories and tradition behind each dish, as well as shared some of his personal experience. every dish was phenomenal, and the portions were very reasonable (i usually don't get full for tasting menus, but i wasn't able to finish this one!)

Amazing chef's choice menu with more than enough food over 9ish courses. Seasonal items rotate but all of it is stunningly fresh and exceptional. The one disappointing dish was the “rice course” ... a simple, understated rice with dressed shaved black truffles on the menu as a risotto ... which sadly at the wrong savory expectations for something that underwhelmed; even with the fresh truffles. But the sake pairing was brilliant and just enough to match the dishes. Bravo.

The quality and presentation of the food was incredible as was the Sake and the friendly hospitality however I think people should know that the ambiance feels very rushed, bright overhead lighting and forced participation. Definitely a NO for introverts or those seeking a romantic date

The service was really rude snd slow from the beginning. They were preparing some courses ahead of the time and putting them in front of us for 5 -15mins while they are still completing either serving other customers or completing our last course. For the first course, they had almost forgotten to serve us - we received the food (raw food sitting there for 15mins)when everyone else had finished their food. I also noticed that one of the chef's collected our finished plates crossing over where nigiri were being preped and without changing his gloves, drizzled soy sauce putting the same gloved fingers on the nozzle of the soy sauce bottle. Tea service was weird to say the list. Some times they refilled the same cup, sometimes they gave us a new cup. There was a time when the woman wine server helped garnish the sashimi, she sprinkled sisho flowers (a delicacy, I suppose) on the sashimi with such apathy, that we did not feel like eating that food. I needed a napkin, they gave me a hand towel and made it very awkward about it. They were giving a lot of attention and time to people who ordered alcohol. They charged us automatic 20% gratuity, which they definitely did not deserve. 1/3 of the restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening - that shows that the people are not happy with this restaurant. I don't think, I will be back. The staff here needs more professionalism. And the food was not at par with other high-end places in Seattle. Take your business elsewhere, customers.

The service and experience was absolutely magnificent! This was more than I expected and nothing could have been better. I could not pick a favorite dish or flavor as they were all so amazing!

5 Star Food, 5 Star Service - friendly, cheerful, affable. Front of house was superb. Presentation was very beautiful. I was enamored with the diverse sake glasses. Counter seats were a lot of fun from which to watch all the action. They made my friend's birthday very special. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go again. Kudos to Chef Hiro and team!

I'm not sure if it's fair to compare this place to Wataru and Taneda. The food is definitely good but the other two places I've mentioned are better. One thing that I didn't quite enjoy was the service. The server (dude in Crocs) was just okay. I think he needs to take a hospitality course because he doesn't say anything when you tell him thank you. It feels like I'm talking to a cold brick wall. He asked about alcohol and if it was okay and I told him I wasn't sure. He said a little should be fine. The thing is, it's up to me to decide that and not him so it was a little off putting to me. The placement of some of the food wasn't straight and my wife and friend had to ask for a refill or pour our own drinks. The place good. Not great or excellent though due to the service we got.
