“To be honest, this wasn’t for me. I did not enjoy the noodles I had at all. Although the honey chicken wings were probably the best wings I have ever had in my life, they’re really crispy and full of flavor. I would highly recommend them above anything else.“

“Came here on a Sunday night for dinner and ordered off the happy hour menu. Most of the tables were full despite making reservation. We ended up sitting at the bar. We had five items: Dan Dan noodles, chicken wings, broccoli, shrimp egg roll and pork short ribs. Everything came out quickly and was so delicious! This is definitely elevated Chinese food. Dan Dan noodles has such savory aroma that it was love at first bite. ? The waiters were definitely busting their chops to get everyone served. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.“

“Came here with a big group for a birthday. I was thoroughly impressed with everything we ordered, it was a family style meal with lots of dishes and plenty of second helpings. Our group ran the gamut for spice tolerance, vegan, and food allergies but there was plenty of overlap on dishes most of us could eat. The peppery flavors of the meal were such a delight to the palette, slightly numbing in some cases but never too spicy hot, there are even several peppery drinks on the menu that are sure to wow. My favorite was the chicken, but my friends loved the sweet and buttery flavor of the hen of the forest which was definitely my runner-up. Service was also excellent, everything came out quickly, our waters were topped up, and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable on the dishes. Definitely looking forward to the next time!“

“Super authentic Sichuan food??PARKnSHOP Shopping→Shu 1, Shu 2, one-stop dining is so funTheir dishes are rarely over-the-top, and we recommend [Small Stir-fried Pork] [Mao Xue Wang] [Griddle Pot Fat Sausage] [Stir-fried Chicken Gizzards with Sour Beans]The basic traditional Sichuan cuisine is quite authentic and delicious, and spicy enough! The portion is huge! The only one that got me wrong was the [Double Pepper Fish Head]White water fish smells fishy and tastes bad. Problems with fish. Seasoning??“

“Food - excellent. They know their food and also American-Chinese chow but done way better. Being Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan they're as spicy as they come with all their deeper & mouth watering flavors. It is all about the food in this restaurant.Service - it's just one guy that takes both phone and sit-down orders. So keep that mind cause you're not gonna be waited on like in a regular restaurant. A couple of ladies will dish out your orders and make up for the lack thereof. Still the service is okay considering.Atmosphere - it's clean, spaced appropriately, and there are also a couple of bigger round tables with lazy susans for special occasions where everyone shows up for dinner. No wow factor here. Part of the dining experience is the bathroom which scores low.“

“We tried this place when we were travelling in Seattle. It wasn't cheap but if you're really hungry it's worth it I suppose. The portion of ingredients for the all you can eat is very generous! There's also a sauce bar that you have to pay extra for. The soups were pretty decent as well. We were very full by the end of it. Not the best hot pot I've ever had but I can definitely see the appeal. We all enjoyed i.“

“great neighborhood chinese spot. got take out, and food was all done how you'd like it - full of flavor, cooked quickly in a wok to maintain texture of ingredients, and not overly greasy. reasonable prices and good options for any vegetarians in your group (just make sure to ask if things that look like vegetarian dishes have oyster sauce in them). the woman running the place is a sweetheart too. will definitely be back especially to try the lunch special and make this a regular takeout spot!“

“Best hotpot I’ve ever had in Seattle. Portion sizes are generous, meat quality is excellent and they have a wide variety of meat, seafood and veggie options. I also love that they have a table in the very corner facing out the front windows so you can people watch as you eat.“

“We came here to celebrate one of my students' graduation, an early graduation lunch. She wanted to try Chinese food and I chose this location based on recommendation from other Chinese colleagues. This place is very quiet during lunch hour, we were the only group. There are a good number of to-go orders. It looks like the place is recently renovated, clean and new. We ordered three entrees and they were all very tasty and authentic, in my opinion. The food came out pretty quick. We tried dry pot chicken, hot and sour cabbage, and shredded pork in garlic sauce. All well flavored and not too overwhelming. My student is from the Midwest and she really loved the food too. I will probably come back again. I would recommend coming during lunch hour if you want to avoid a crowd. The owner said it tends to get busy for dinner.“

“What a find? We had diner at Tyger Tyger Saturday night. Started off with the hand rolled pork wontons. Was a great way to start our meal. We tried the Tyger Tyger Fried Rice, Rockfish with Sour Mustard Greens, Chili Cumin Beef and rounded out our meal with the Wok Blistered Asparagus and the Greens with Walnut and Bacon. WOW what a taste sensation. Favorite…. The Rockfish and Blistered Asparagus. Was very easy to order, the food was ready when we came to pick it up with utensils included. Pick up was all staged in accordance to the social distance guidelines and staff was very polite and accommodating. Can’t wait for the drink menu to become available. Cheers!“

“This is the taste of Seattle. Being a New Orleans native and a food critic, I started to lose hope on finding something good to eat. Well, SpiceUp Szechuan Cuisine gave me the satisfaction I have been searching for in the 2+ months I've been here. I'm certain that I will find other good eats in the PNW but right now, SpiceUp is the best I've had. During my expeditions of critiquing restaurants, I almost NEVER clean my plate. However, the food was so good that I just couldn't stop putting the form to my mouth. The service was excellent and expeditious, the atmosphere felt very homely, and the food was fantastic. David I appreciate your dedication to serving really good food and you will definitely see me again. Jonathan Did you dine in, take out, or get delivery?“

“The best Ma Po Tofu in Seattle! The Sichuan dishes are not for the average American palate and lean towards the high side of spicy so if your idea of Chinese food is the kind of stuff you get at Panda Express then this is not your jam…save the restaurant your bad reviews because the orange chicken was not what u expected. But if you enjoy Sichuan and don’t feel like leaving Ballard this is a spot worth checking out.Ma Po Tofu is the star here. I’ve tried other dishes but it’s the best and the best value. The Sauce is so potent that sometimes we add extra tofu at home to the leftovers. Chongqing Spicy Chicken is yummy also. Staff is kind and nice.Parking is limited but there is plenty across the street.“

“Wow this is one of my favorite hot pot places in Seattle! The customer service is fab and the food is so freaking good, you won't be able to stop eating which is perfect because it's ACE!! They had free appetizers - fried chicken, shrimp chips, black bean Chinese donuts and more. They were all so good. There was a sauce bar too and I made such a good combo with all the options they had. We ordered fatty pork belly and beef for meat - both were delicious and with plenty of portions. Along with that we got tofu, fish balls, noodles and cabbage. I'll say I only really liked the tofu. The fish balls weren't very flavorful and the noodles didn't taste hand made. We got the spicy beef soup and when they say spicy, they mean it. I actually couldn't handle the spice even though I thought I had a good spice tolerance but my husband was totally fine. We came in at 5pm and it wasn't crowded at all. All in all, I'll definitely be back. Awesome hot pot spot in Shoreline!! It had this cute family run business vibe to it as well.“
