Fabulous food Love this place

We waited an hour and a half before we received our dinner. They prioritize to go orders. They had a young server that kept apologizing for how long it was taking as they kept bringing several different bags of food outside. Our drinks went empty several times without being checked in on. There were only four other tables with people at them. Very poorly managed and when we went to cash out we were overcharged. Will not be back.

Best Sushi in Spokane, not just the Northside... best you'll find anywhere in Spokane! So fresh and delicious. The staff/owners are so awesome too. I've had sushi on the south hill, in the valley and every time I stray from Shushiwa I think, it's alright but it's not Sushiwa! I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

I am genuinely perplexed by the amount of 4+ ratings I see for this location. This place was no match for Sushi.com. Our server was a young guy and he was great. My low rating comes from a few things 1. We got there probably 1.5hrs before closing but we were a group of 5 and there were others who had been seated. Only ONE person was making sushi which means it took a while. 2. In an unfamiliar location and not being familiar with the menu, I’d expect everyone to get individual plates. Our meal came served on one huge plate and we had to try and remember all these complicated names for each roll. My guess is they wanted to save on dishes but it was a tad bit annoying. 3. We paid a small fortune. In my situation, their were no individual checks which means someone who didn’t even serve us was responsible for tallying up our checks. I’ve eaten at other locations with less people and had more food and still walked out of this place thinking - what the hell just happened? Our entire group walked out and was like ummmmmm….why did this cost so much? In addition, nothing we tasted knocked our socks off and made us feel like we needed to make a trip back. We won’t be back but it seems like other people enjoy what they offer and I wish them the best! As I said, staff was nice.

Was excited to have some sushi! Was on my lunch break, drove up to driveup window. 35 minutes later i got my food. Very small portion and paid 56$! I will never return. I am sorry for negative review. I know, we are in a pandemic crisis right now BUT I can go to QQ Sushi and get triple amount for same price!

This has been my favorite place to eat sushi for the last 13 years. I am never disappointed.

We stopped for takeout at lunchtime while passing through Spokane. We were greeted by the very friendly owner Mr. Kim, and proceeded to order chicken teriyaki and sushi rolls. Everything we had was extremely tasty and very fresh, as well as beautifully presented (see pic). We will definitely eat there again next time we are in Spokane! Thank you Mr. Kim!

Went here for lunch a couple of days ago. I ordered 4 different items and my bill was north of $40. Items are fresh and the sushi chef is phenomenal, but it if you're thinking of trying out different sushi options, you'll be spending a lot.Now if you're planning on also trying out their other options like teriyaki or tempura, those are affordable and filling.

Great Sushi. The sushi guy knows what he is doing. A real pro. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is simply outstanding.

The food is SUPER delicious and the staff are so incredibly nice. The vibe is chill and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in the big city. Definitely will be going back! Not to mention they have a drive thru.

Best sushi, hands down, in the North area. I've been to every sushi place in Spokane, and this is the legitimate deal. I used to make sushi, and was traditionally trained. The rice was phenomenal. The fish, even the Octopus, was tender and fresh. Attention was paid to the cucumber and lemon slices on the side, and the fish wasn't covered with too much sauce. Each piece was wonderfully prepared. If you actually care what your sushi tastes like, come here. It may not be the cheapest, but it is by far and away, the best sushi in the valley. If you want to save the few bucks difference, I am sure there's something at McDonalds in the filet o fish variety you can get for cheaper. Do your tummy a favor, and treat yourself. You deserve this. I know I did.

This was our first time here and when we left we knew that it wouldn’t be the last! We’ve been to other Sushi restaurants before, ones that included the Sushi train and those that did not. Although I do enjoy the train, this place impressed me!From the very first step in the door until we left, this wonderful family-owned restaurant made us feel quite welcome! The Service, Atmosphere, Food was Excellent! If you are looking for the “Train” or inexpensive Sushi, you may want to look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place that serves amazing fresh fish, scrumptious seafood, and good Service- then this is The Place!BTW - The Sashimi melts in your mouth -> So fresh!I’ve shared a few photos below for your viewing pleasure.“Dad” is a True Sushi Artist and you will not be disappointed!Cheers!

Pricey grocery store sushi sadly. We need better sushi in Spokane! 33$ was barely enough for one person, and it was mediocre at best

This place has some decent Sushi! That is for sure. I just wish they had more on their menu of the Japanese variety like Teriyaki and Ramen. But it's fine. They specialize in Sushi and that is their thing - so I get it. Not bad at all. The only reason I don't give more stars - is because of the lack of variety on the menu - and some of the Sushi is a bit on the high priced end of things.
