Never had a bad bagel nor a bad experience. Love this place! I usually either get an everything bagel byo or a plain with garlic cream cheese. The employees are always a vibe and super sweet. If you're in the area, although the line is always long, it goes quickly!

The place for bagels in Tacoma! We come to pick up 2 bagel sands each time we visit from Honolulu! Bagels are well made, fillings are generous and flavors are on spot. Only issue? There's always a line so go early on a weekday. Line's part of the charm I guess and the place has tons of personality!Parking: Go early for parking and no line.

First time at Howdy Bagel for me was yesterday at lunch. I had the pastrami and egg sandwich on an everything bagel. I don't know if they make the pastrami in-house, but it was hands down the best pastrami I have ever had in my life. Everyone was cheerful. Overall, a great experience.Kid-friendliness: Just a chill environment, suitable for families.

Great food, friendly atmosphere, but long lines. The daily line outside the shop finally got us curious enough to try this out. After more than half an hour, we finally got inside, and the atmosphere was great - workers were lively and polite, and there was a variety of small business and minority-owned products to look at while waiting for your turn for the bagels. After another thirty minutes of being in line and waiting for the order, we got three bagel sandwiches - pastrami, egg, & cheese; avo boast; lox in a box. All of them were delicious and filling, but very messy to eat, which is expected of a bagel sandwich. I'd suggest getting this for a takeout, as it's quite hard to get ahold of a table.Overall, it's worth a try if you're curious, but I don't see myself coming here often just due to sheer wait time (we came for Saturday lunch, so it might vary).

I finally got to try Howdy Bagel !! It was well worth the wait ( the last two times I went they were already sold out for the day). Seriously, this has got to be the BEST bagel shop in all of Tacoma!!! From first bite to the last bite, I was in heaven. Come early and be prepared to wait in line and then enjoy ! Coffee is delicious too. They have great merch for sale as well. Me and my kids are thinking we need to update our calendar for Howdy Bagel Saturdays as a new family tradition. Great minds think alike. Highly recommend.

Our new favorite breakfast bagel sandwich place. This will become one of our regulars now that we found it. Worth a little bit of a wait for the most amazing breakfast I've ever had and huge too! Saved 2nd half for lunch! Absolutely perfect mocha too and coffee was very reasonably priced!Vegetarian options: Lots of options to add on!

Howdy! As someone who has lived many places within the country and originally from NY, it’s a true struggle to find good bagels, especially boiled and hand rolled bagels, fresh and still warm when you’re served them. I haven’t had a “good” bagel since my last visit to NY, until today at Howdy Bagel. These bagels are delicious, fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I am so impressed with Howdy Bagel, not only because of the quality of bagels, but also for its community support through locally sourced products like eggs, meat and dairy. Apart from the extremely delicious food, I was blown away with how kind and friendly all of the staff was, as well as the range of products sold other than their food and drinks. The decor is perfection as well. 100 out of 10

Holy grail of the closest thing I've had to a true New York bagel. WOW. One of my clients brought me a bagel from their shop and said I HAD to try it.She said the line was insane and the bagels were rapidly dissapearing. She was able to grab me a rosemary and salt bagel yesterday. I saved it and just had it this morning...WOW!!! The outside has that classic thin crunchy layer that a true bagel should have...while the inside is SO FLUFFY AND SOFT. Also the rosemary flavor is absolutely insane so so good!Very glad I only live like 15 minutes from this place...we will be frequent customers! Pregnant lady approved ?❤️

Great atmosphere and great food. I must have got lucky. No line and walked right in this morning. First timer and had the bagel, bacon, egg, and cheese. I believe they put howdy sauce on it. I was suggested to try it with the rosemary and sea salt bagel and it was the best sandwich I've had. Ended up walking out with a half dozen as well. I will be back.
