3 star prices for what you get4 star some dishes2 star other dishes2 star buggy ordering system1 star no napkins, onion ring dip, or cutleryUpdate: It's been years since we ate here, and the years have not been kind to them. We only come for our anniversary because it's an hour away from us and spendy. We shared the Pick 3 and the thin shredded onion rings, because portions have been so large in the past. Our sides were roasted veggies and loaded mashed potatoes. Prices have gone up, which is to be expected for quality food.I want to provide the context that we ordered carryout, so adjust expectations accordingly. We clicked the box that said we *do need napkins, cutlery, and condiments, because we needed to eat in the car. Despite that, they still didn't give us any, which became inconvenient very quickly. We showed up a little early, so if it had been sitting there for a while, that's not on us. First, the onion rings had a delicious flavor. They weren't very crispy, though. And they forgot to include our flavored mayo to dip it in. Remember we didn’t have silverware or napkins? That's right, we ate greasy onion rings with our fingers and wiped our hands on our clothes. Then we ate baked or steamed zucchini & yellow squash. It's fall; the very height and mecca of vegetable harvest season. But we got zucchini. I like zucchini! But it's kind of a cop out in the fall. And it was not roasted, it was baked. Maybe even steamed. Ate it with our fingers.Scooped up the loaded mashed potatoes with our fingers! Now that was messy but delicious. A small portion, though. Maybe takeout orders don't get the same amount of food?In the Pick 3, we selected Shrimp, Steak, and Ribs. There were 5 shrimp. I don't know if they were good because my husband ate them all. With his fingers. The steak was more like a roast (this is probably just my steak ignorance showing), pre-sliced, and a small portion. We each got 3 thin little slices about the size of a regular mouth canning jar lid. It was ok. Not gross, not amazing. Ate it with our fingers, natch. And last but not least, the ribs. 4 of them and very delicious. But do you know how hard it is to clean up your hands and face after ribs when you have no napkins? The order came to $50. Which is more or less we had expected, but we *didn't expect small portions and to eat with our fingers, for that amount of money, and it wasn't as tasty as it used to be. 2 hours of driving, for mediocre food, and on our anniversary to boot. Claim Jumper is really not the same quality anymore. We will probably not come back; there are other places we can impoverishe ourselvs on a special day.--------------Old review (used to be 5 stars):I have eaten there twice, and loved both times. I had the caribbean sweet potato (don't remember what it's called) and a chicken with cream sauce dish that I also don't know what it's called. Both were fantastic! My husband loved his dish (heavy on the meat) both times. Service is slow, but the ambiance is fun if you have the time to hang out. Portions are waaaay too big, but at least I didn't have to make dinner for a day or so (no complaints there). They gave us free dessert tickets for a different visit (later that night was okay by them).

I took the family out to dinner and my girlfriend picked Claim Jumper because it was a great place to eat when she lived in California. The food was great and the restaurant was very clean but there was one thing missing which was very important. Our server decided not to show up to work her shift. She took our order and basically that was the last time she came to our table. She didn't refill our drinks and she didn't bring the bread we asked for. When our dinner was brought to our table it was different servers and they were not busy at all. For a family of 6 she didn't deserve a tip of $20.00 but my girlfriend insisted. I hope my server is reading this review because she needs to know that the hard earned money I spent that we deserve some kind of service. I don't know if she needs training or maybe she just doesn't care about her job and only there for a paycheck.

2nd time we have used this restaurant for a large gathering in the last couple of years. Great experience both times. Large table ready when we arrived, off to a side so you don't feel like you might bother other diners, dedicated waitress who was amazing and kind. Spvr checkedall was okay. Food was hot and good and arrived quickly from time of order. Potato skins, chicken nachos, calamari and pizza are just some of our orders. We were celebrating a baby this time and they allowed us to decorate with balloons, table favors, flowers and go over our booked time by about 40mins, all with smiles and kindness.Wheelchair accessibility: Good ramp access from handicap spots and wide space to get to your tables inside.

I picked up a family member at the airport and we thought we would go out for a nice meal. As soon as we were seated, it took forever just to get a waitress to come over for a drink order. We then had to wait for dinner an extra long time and it felt like they lost our order. After receiving a large bill, we felt we should just have gone home and made dinner there. We ordered soup and ribeye steak. We asked several times for bread for the soup and nothing ever arrived, embarrassing for me entertaining my guest and will probably not go back. There are so many choices and I chose wrong. Next time 13 coins or another steak house will be on our list. You used to have such a great reputation……what happened??

We were at Claim Jumper for a rehearsal dinner on March 22. We had 21 people in our party. We were seated promptly. Tabatha was our waitress. She did an outstanding job of getting our drink and food orders out in timely manner. She was great with my food allergies. And then split up all the checks as we requested. And all with a happy face. Great job!!

I use to enjoy the Claim Jumper but do to prices it's no longer a very good value. I see why you have lost people coming to your restaurant.
