“Came up from Utah in March 2023 to visit family that lives in Winthrop.We were told to go check out this awesome restaurant so we did. There were 5 of us and we all left stating this is the best restaurant in the Methow Valley. When we come back up, we will eat there every day! My family always goes back! Lucky them! I highly recommend 1908! Excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly people. Don't just drive by it, stop in and try everything on the menu!”

“The outside dining is a nice covered area with picnic tables. They've done everything possible to mitigate the hornets, but in late August & early September, you may want to take the food to go. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding.”

“The coffee is excellent. The selection of pastry items is extensive. The folks behind the counter are cheerful. Plenty of tables and chairs inside and out. The best reason to go to downtown Twisp is Cinnamon Twisp Bakery. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Ended up staying overnight unexpectedly, and desperately in need of coffee as our day began. Michael’s was right off the main drag, so we stopped. It can be hit or miss with small coffee stands, especially since I am a huge coffee snob. This was a big hit! The coffee was delicious and the service very friendly. Highly recommend!”

“Ate here last night with my wife and daughter. Fun casual outdoorsy atmosphere and delicious unique reasonably priced food. They bring one dish at a time to your table so you can fully focus on the dish and enjoy it. We loved all 5 dishes and the dessert. Our new favorite place in Winthrop. 👍”

“We stayed in Winthrop recently and came here 2 of the 3 mornings for coffee. If I had found it sooner, it would have been 3 of 3. I got a huckleberry chai with oat milk (the "Elution" was maybe the name?). It was very unique. It's not something I've seen anywhere else, and I LOVED it. My husband and I both enjoyed our drinks and sandwiches. The ladies working were both very friendly, funny, and welcoming as well!”

“We have visited this darling cafe every time we’ve been to the Methow, including on the 31st and 1st this week. Fantastic breakfast sandwiches. Great coffee. Assorted pastries and treats. Friendly staff. Cute decor. You may expect a tiny wait (it’s a small spot), but very worth it. We will be back again next time we visit.”

“Well I'm actually a cook and was up for the hunting season..I have to admit I just love this place...the staff overburden....yet giving it there all is what makes it for me...the food itself is what ya come off the ridge for...hot and actually not bad...a soft spoken server I hope to see next year taking in 5 to 6 tables was always there... truth be told I hated to leave..”

“we had a fantastic 3 nights here recently Rooms were comfortable views were amazing. Trails i did about 5 miles wanted to do more but I was just coming off a sinus infection so my energy was not at 100% probably 70%. Only issue is food was not to our liking. Eggs runny hashbrowns mush and bacon i have no clue what that was. Just a big chunk of fat. Blueberry pancakes did not have blueberries in the batter just some on top. I mean what chef doesn’t put the blueberries in the batter.Only food we were ok with was the smash burger and chicken sandwich was good. We only had one breakfast and one dinner on the bar. We went to the store got dinner and breakfasts for the next two days. Grounds very nice. Other than our dissapointing food i would say it was good. I will give 7 out of 10 food just was not to our liking. Would I stay here again yes but we will bring our own food..Wish we could of stayed a few more days to catch the northern lights with no light pollution. Someone must of been there got some great pictures..”
