The best Ukrainian food that I ever had! Tastes so delicious the service here is amazing! The lady who works here always goes beyond, she is very sweet and kind! The food is served on fast and on time! I would compare this food to some fancy food that you would only see at the Slavic weddings

Not your standard mall fare. This felt more like a friendly mom and pop establishment. We've never had Ukrainian food, so we were curious to try something different as we were road-tripping through the area. Mild, yummy flavors and reminds me of comfort food. The food seemed authentic to me and was definitely worth a try!

First off, y’all need to know I am comparing this food to food cooked by Ukrainian *nuns* and Banderyky is coming out on top. The pyrizhky (pyrizhok for just one) have an absurdly buttery, perfectly done puff pastry surrounding your choice of filling (but if you don’t get at least one sauerkraut, you’re missing out). The borsch is perfection in any weather, but is just extra special on a cold day (otherwise get extra to eat cold the following day, as it’s often eaten in summer!). The prices are heinously low, I should not be able to get a combo and an extra pyrizhok for $15 including tax in 2024 given prices of ingredients.Natalya and her husband are so lovely and kind, and chatting with them was a delight. I will be making the forty minute drive to go to a mall’s food court with more frequency than I would have ever considered before, all for this food. If it had been a Banderyky pyrizhok in the Garden of Eden, God himself would have agreed with Eve’s decision to disobey and eat it.

Glad I stopped by here, nice option to have inside a mall. I got a combo that included Varenyky, Banderyky, Pickled Cabbage Salad and sour cream. The Varenyky is potato and cheese dumplings. These were yummy, the dough wasn't too thick and good amount of filling. The Banderyky is a crepe filled with ground chicken. This is something new to me, it reminded me of a chicken patty but it had a thin crepe covering it. Pretty good. The Banderyky and the Varenyky were topped with some caramelized onions. The pickled cabbages salad wasn't too vinegary, pretty light and refreshing. There's some dill and bell peppers added to it. The portion sizes for the price of the food is good, it's affordable. I will definitely come back here to try other dishes they have.

The food exceeded my expectations, as has the service - repeatedly. I cannot say enough good things about this little shop!My favorite plate is the Combination #1. But I have enjoyed everything I've tried so far. I love Kvass (its not for everyone with an American palate, but I recommend trying it once at least), and they usually have a Ukrainian brand on hand. My carrot salad is a side order, and my wife has been craving it since I brought her in two months ago!Did I mention the service? I've had three different gals take my orders here, and each one has been wonderful in helping me select my options and very patiently helped me with my pronunciation (only because I've asked for it!). They are absolutely lovely, wonderful people here.If you've been considering trying Ukrainian food, this is a great option! I highly recommend Banderyky located in the Vancouver Westfield Mall.Parking: Nearly unlimited - it's a mall!Kid-friendliness: It's inside a mall, so... yeah... a lot of kids and child-friendly activities!Wheelchair accessibility: There are almost always multiple handicapped parking spots available, elevators, etc. I mean... it's a shopping mall.

We absolutely love this place and eat here a lot. It really is a gem and the folks who run it are so nice and friendly. Honestly everything on the menu is delicious, but the hot dog is our favorite. It's so flavorful and the pickled cabbage they use is mouth-watering. Everything here tastes home made and cooked with care. We make excuses to visit the mall just to go here to eat. My pictures won't do it justice but check it out!

Awesome food, awesome service! They were super helpful in walking me through all of the options since I’d never had Ukrainian food before. I’m definitely a convert and will be back anytime I come from Portland to see a movie. Heck, I may even make a special trip to get some to go. Highly recommend. (The item #3 Holubtsi and item #2 Varenyky were to die for. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!)P.S. I’m not going to knock them on atmosphere - they’re at the 2nd floor food court at the Vancouver Mall. Everyone has to start somewhere. :) And it’s fantastic that we now have a great option at that food court.

One of the best things to find for a food joint : a family run hole in the wall with just a happy vibe and really really good comfort food.We had the banderyky, cabbage rolls and pyrizhok. All of them were great, dough was super tender and tasty and the cabbage rolls were nice and fat! There are even some vegetarian options, with lots of pickled salads.Would totally recommend, here's hoping they can get a seated restaurant going in the future too!
