Based on the reviews, Cactus Ya Ya | Mexican • Southwestern is a rare gem with great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean and still family-owned. The food is amazing, with specific meals like the Shanghai Burrito with peanut sauce, chicken YaYa Roll with delicious peanut sauce, halibut fish tacos, steak salad, and fajitas. The chicken skewers are big and tender, served with peanut sauce. Guests receive immediately chips and salsa and a bean dip (or black-eyed pea dip) at no charge, with savory beans and sometimes guac at an xtra charge. The drinks are fantastic, including thoroughly frozen margaritas, the best (Nuclear) margaritas, and frozen Smithers. The service is spectacular and attentive, with fantastic bar tenders who are kind and a safe space. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a small fireplace. It can be noisy when crowded, but that is to be expected.
