“Have been wanting to come here for a while and finally came by for a pre-work coffee. The barista made my espresso perfectly and was great to chat with. The vibes in here are spectacular, not too loud, free Wi-Fi, and I love the upstairs seating area!

There weren’t many food options left but I think I just visited too late in the day!

“I have lived in Redmond for 8 years and have somehow never visited River Trail Roasters. I finally broke the streak today, and I'm glad I did! They are so, so nice there - and reviews are not kidding when they say the coffee is strong, lol. My Americano was great, super deep, roasted flavor and not acidic. It also smells great in there. Prices aren't too bad for Redmond either, I was pleasantly surprised.“

“Love the coffee and the atmosphere. Customer service is unfortunately lacking at times. They messed up a Doordash order (ordered a traditional and they completely forgot the milk. Literally just a mostly-empty cup with a shot of espresso in it), and we've been unable to contact them about it, as they don't answer the phone and their voicemail is full. Ordered the fruity French toast. 3 big thick slices of bread, with fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream The bread only had egg wash on one side, as if they poured the egg on the flattop and set the bread on it, As these were thick slices, the rest of it was just dry bread. Not what we expected. We thought it would be dipped and covered in egg. The silverware is the basic stamped out cafeteria style utensils and takes away from the overall experience of this otherwise homey ambience.“

“all we got was the matcha ice cream and the black sesame and they were amazing! $5 for a large scoop that you could split between 2. If you love matcha definitely get the matcha ice cream but if you want to try something new i definitely recommend the black sesame ice cream!“

“Despite the name, Visible Coffee Roasters is hilariously hard to spot, tucked away in the back corner of the Silver Firs plaza. But once you find it? Totally worth it. “This trip was not founded on joy whatsoever. HOWEVER, by the end of it, surely it was Let me explain...

I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet

Great service and nice, authentic Eastern European food — Russian, Ukrainian, Caucasian, etc. I have to note that the staff are polite and friendly, make very good coffee, and always give helpful advice about the menu. There’s also a good selection of not overly sweet desserts.“

“I was staying with a friend in Seattle for five days and I got the London Fog every. Single. Day.

You order on a machine at the front but somehow they still bring it to you? The people who work there must be psychic.

Caveat: on four of the five days there was a woman working there, and both the London Fogs and the music were great. On the last day there was a guy and both the London Fog and music were just… ok. I don’t know how you get appreciable difference in London Fogs… it’s just tea and steamed milk. Maybe he added too much water? Is there a correlation between music taste and being able to make really good London Fogs? Mysteries abound.
