The food here was amazing and the space was low key, even low-rent looking. I walked in and approached the counter to order. The restaurant was sparsely decorated and felt bare. The order window was surrounded by menu items with pictures. The man at the counter proceeded to tell me about all of the specialties that were not on the menu. I had mariscos rancheros. The shrimp were salty, buttery, crisp and tender little presents of joy. Lying on a bed of hot, flavorful sautéed vegetables, with homemade tortillas so hot I couldn’t hold one for the first five minutes. My son was more conservative in his choice of beef tacos. He raved about the tender beef and flavorful fresh tortillas. I will be bringing my friends and family to this unassuming little gem with the great chef.
