VanArnam Vineyards Winery •
1305 Gilbert Rd, Zillah

“This tasting room was a joy to visit. There were only 2 other people there when we arrived so we had an opportunity to talk to the winemaker, learning of his journey to winemaking. Such a wonderful young man who is very passionate about his creativity in his process. We tasted some wonderful red wines including some very recently bottled that we were very impressed with. The tasting room is on a smaller scale comparatively, but there is an outdoor patio for use in the warmer weather. There are music events in the summer months as well as a house on the property available for overnight stays. There was no food available when we went in January, but unsure about seasonal availability. Very impressed with this enthusiastic young winemaker. It was a joyful experience.“

Velen Winery Winery • $
1381 Orchardvale Rd, Zillah

“Tad over at Cultura sent us here, and I'm glad he did, because we wouldn't have found this diamond-in-the-rough otherwise. We caught John as he was coming out of the vineyard, and he came in and gave us tastes of his current lineup. I was particularly impressed with the reds - the cab had hints of baking spice (which sort of reminded me of a zin) and the merlot had strong notes of vanilla and red fruit. These were very drinkable wines that could stand on their own, and they were excellent values in the low-to-mid $20s per bottle.John was a great storyteller and it was fun to pick his brain on their story and understand why they moved to the Yakima Valley. It was a really fun tasting. When I walked in, I did not expect to be walking out with 8 bottles of wine, but that's exactly what we did. They will be on our list the next time we visit Zillah. One last note - if you were a fan of Simcoe Creek, they've taken a hiatus while they raise their family. Velen has begun to bottle and sell some of their wine - so it's still available in case you're a fan and want to pick some up.“

“5 of us “wine sippers” had a great time this weekend at Whitman Hill Winery. The grounds are beautiful, the tour was really fun, thank you Brandon. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable. And the wine is AWESOME I don’t usually like Chardonnay, but I bought two bottles of theirs. And joined the club. Thank you cuz’s, Scott and Denise I’m so happy for you, you’ve done a good thing. ♥️“

Dineen Vineyards Wineries • $$
2980 Gilbert Rd, Zillah

“Looking for wines made from one of the best vineyards in the state of Washington? Looking for stellar line-up of white varietals and some spectacular Cab. Franc? Dineen's the place. And if you're lucky enough to stop in when the production team is working you might score some facetime with their always entertaining winemaker, Sam! The 2022 Condriesque White Wine is really, really good and well worth the trip alone.ALSO, the panoramic view from the Crush Pad at Dineen during the Spring when everything is in bloom is, quite possibly, the most beautiful in the entire valley. Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself.“

“Bosma makes some of my favorite wines in the area. We first stumbled on to this winery when it was downtown Zillah in the basement, Tina was the wonderful person that served us wine we got a tasting of wines witch back then it was only $5 dollars a fantastic deal now their tasting fee is gone up to $10 dollars still a bargain for the quality of the wine you are getting. We did become wine members as we love the wine and the customer service Tina provided. We met Julie and Steve the owners they are just as Pleasant. Love their new location it’s a very relaxing and beautiful place to enjoy fantastic Bosma wine.“
