The food is still delicious; however we ordered takeout online two days before Mother's Day to be picked up on Mother's Day at 2:30 p.m., but the food wasn't ready till after 3 because our dozen "muffins weren't ready." Then our gallon of lemonade wasn't with the "filled" order. Another 10 min wait with the meat getting cold and the rest of our party waiting at home. I realize staffing is tight and customer demand is high on Mother's Day, but with two days of lead time, I do at least expect to not need to remind staff of our beverage at Famous Dave's prices.

My Mom & I stopped by Famous Dave's for lunch on a weekday. The front of the restaurant was dark & void of people, so we walked into the dining room to request a table.Our server was friendly and brought our drinks and food promptly, but despite being the only server, would be absent from the dining room for extended periods.Two of the side dishes we wanted were not available. The French fries I ordered were forgotten by the kitchen, and brought late. I requested sour cream, but they had run out the day prior (despite being located across the street from the largest area grocery store).As a replacement, the server suggested ranch dressing, but brought a side of dill dip instead (not great with French fries). By the time I realized it was a dill dip, he had left the dining room again. We also needed drink refills. He was not there.I had to go find our server to get our check. I handed him his tip directly when he finally brought the bill. Which was a mistake, because then there was no one around to actually pay. We waited by the cash registers for more than 5 minutes. Our server walked past a few times, but ignored us. Finally, I saw a cook in the back and asked him to call someone to help us.Someone came to collect our money. We needed exactly $5 change, since we had already tipped our server. We paid with exact change, but the person we gave the money to said he wasn't able to get our change from the cash register he was standing directly in front of! He went into the back of the restaurant to ask someone else for change. Returning with the wrong change amount, and had to go into the back again.A very strange visit all around. Nothing like the pleasant visit I had last summer. I doubt we will be returning.

First time here for lunch last Friday and will definitely be back! The food was great, we had chicken and chopped pork sandwiches, it was above our expections. The waitress was nice and looked like she pretty busy as they seemed to be short staffed. All in all it was a great experience, highly recommend

Visited here twice in the past year or so. From last time to tonight I had the best bbq you can have. Very delicious introduced boyfriend to the food we both loved it. Split the pick 3 combo very worth the money. So yummy will always come back. Great customer service upon pick up order. Yummy!!

Food made me and my wife sick after eating it. Sweet corn tasted old and expired, chili was dried up from microwave heating, brisket was blah, burnt ends were just not good. Wife got Cajun Chicken and she felt like she had to puke after eating it. This place will poison you. Don't go here.

This place has excellent food. The servings are huge! The chicken strips on the kids menu could feed an adult no problem. We ate until we were stuffed and had plenty for the next days lunch.

Worst location ever. Use to be my go to years ago been here twice on the last year and just awful. Ribs had a weird freezer burned taste. Had one in Green Bay where I lived this one is worse than that location was. The whole staff needs to go to the Wisconsin dells locations for training because I will never come here again.

Great food! I recommend the sweet tea and pick three combo.You can pick two sides with this these picks. Staff was very friendly and responsive to requests. They helped eachother when needed and were on spot with taking care of their customers the minute they walked in the door. It was nice to see the display of teamwork. We had a great experience and will be back.

Didn't have brisket or burnt ends! I ordered online. Drove there and THEN found this out. Had to change my order when I arrived and didn't receive a discount. I should have got paid to eat this food. Not good at all. Do Appleton a favor and close this location so people can stop getting robbed!! 90.00 will get you an opposite order and cold food. They also forgot a whole meal. I never leave reviews so nice work "famous" Dave's.

Husband got us take out tonight. Not only did they forget part of our meal (unsure how because we were the only ones getting food at the time) the food portions are so small, chicken wings are literally burn- totally inedible. The food was way way over priced. 90$ for food that we could hardly eat. I tried to choke most of mine down because I don’t want to waste money. But honestly, I wouldn’t feed my dog this food.This is why my husband and I started going to Parker Johns.Tried to give Famous Dave’s the Benefit of the doubt. But we are beyond words disappointed.Honestly, they should just close rather than waste time and money on this literal trash.Will not be back
Stopped for late lunch about 02:00PM on a Friday afternoon. Ordered the "All You Can Eat" rib special. I thought the price was fair and the ribs were great as always. They did have more sauce than I like. In past visits, the meats were brought out "naked" and you added the sauce you like, in the amount you like. My problem was the service. There were only three other tables occupied. Our server was a nice young man, but not very attentive. We got our sodas pretty quickly, but it took 25 minutes to bring out the food. Now they're not making any of this food to order, except maybe the fries. I thought the wait was ridiculous.

This is not the Famous Dave's I know. We had to stand at the front counter....and wait until somebody actually decided to come out from the back to actually help us. Then, after we ordered.....we had to pay right away. They actually asked us to "tip" right away.....BEFORE we even sat down to eat. It took them forever to bring out our food.....even though we were the only ones there. The ribs were awful. The corn on the cob was cold and soggy. Not once did they come out to our table to check on us. You should hire people that are willing to help you.....check to see if everything is ok....and offer any type of assistance in any way. You should hire people that don't hide in the back and avoid assisting the guests. The food should go back to the way it was........Delicious. Dave should stop in an surprise these employees.....and see how horrible this place has become. It was a terrible place to eat. Will only eat here again.....if Famous Dave corrects all of these wrongs. Dave should shut this place down because of the poor service and poor quality of the food and the lack of enthusiasm. Will never eat in this dump ever again.

Have been to other locations and always had a good experience. I assumed it would be the same here. My family and I were hungry so we were excited to see Famous Dave's. The restaurant was clean, so there were no issues there. We did notice that at peak lunch hour the restaurant was dead which surprised us but also worried us. Well the food was slow getting to us. I mean really slow. My biggest complaint was the ridiculous portion sizes. When I order the pick 3 meats for $22, I expect more than a 4 Oz portion each served on toast. This was ridiculous. Now the BBQ was tasty, but if I have to go to the Culver's down the block immediately after leaving your restaurant, you are doing something way wrong.

I probably wouldn't visit again, but it was a cool experience for us because we use the bbq sauce and seasonings at home. The pulled chicken sandwich was bland and was pretty much just bread, cheese, and unseasoned chicken. The Mac and cheese was the best item, however there is corn in it. My family enjoyed the mashed potatoes, brisket, and catfish the most. It's a very clean restaurant, including restrooms. Our server might've been new, but it definitely impacted the score. I had to remind him of pretty much every item (mustard, pickles, and water) I requested when he took our order. He was nice though.

Horrible experience. Ordered the 2 entree meal. The 'burnt ends' were almost 100% fat. Never had such disgusting meat. And they were in NO WAY 'burnt ends.' The regular mac and cheese tasted exactly like it came right out of the box. My husband's jalapeño mac and cheese lacked flavor. And 'loaded' baked potato? I've never had a less loaded, loaded potato. Usually there's butter, sour cream, chives/green onions, cheese and bacon. The one I got, that I paid EXTRA for?!? - cheese and bacon. Yep, that's IT. Not to mention everything was cold to luke warm. While we were there another table wanted their entire meal comped because they couldn't eat it. We will never eat at a Famous Dave's again. Yuk.
