“We love this place. Phil and Carla renovated a drabby little bar into somewhere with a touch of class. It is welcoming, bartenders are always friendly, and the food is always delish. The specialty pizza is great along with quality drinks. Phil and Carla are super hospitable, and even hosted us for our wedding back in 2019! I'm impressed at all of the updates, and we are excited to spend time in the new pavilion :) The neighborhood friendly activities are always a plus with the Halloween party just happening last weekend that was a hit! “Delicious Socal rolls and potstickers! Went there for an appetizer with my favorite person (my husband) and it was delicious! The chips are hot, the Socal rolls were creamy with a nice blend of chicken, corns and beans with cream cheese. And the potstickers were very good. Joe was a great bartender and very friendly. “We had our wedding reception at The Barrel Room @ Harbor Brewing Company, Lake Villa.Firstly, let me say that the staff is incredible, passionate, and extremely supportive. Not only do you sense that when you are enjoying the public bar facing Cedar Avenue, but you feel that especially when you host a private event in their premier entertainment space: The Barrel Room.We worked with Alyssa from start to finish. She is an incredible person, helping us every step of the way. She made incredible suggestions to us, relieving a lot of our stress from the experience, which you cannot put a price on.The overall atmosphere is incredible. What they were able to achieve with their beautiful space is going to liven up downtown Lake Villa.We held our ceremony at Lehmann Park and our catering was from Galati's next door to HBC. (Please check out Galati's and my review for them.)Between Harbor Brewing and Galati's, downtown Lake Villa has two 'anchor' establishments that will surely cultivate an incredible future. My wife and I will be visiting often to enjoy a pint and some of the best Italian food from Galati's.Thank you, to the HBC staff. “First time trying this place and omg….will not be our last. We got the jerk chicken rice bowl with the side of mac n cheese. The chicken had amazing flavor and literally fell off the bone when you picked it up. The Mac n cheese was to die for. The owner was so kind. I told her my sister is vegan and she ran back and sent me with a sample of the chickpea curry for her to try….so thoughtful. We absolutely would recommend trying this place. So much better and different than majority of the restaurants in Antioch!”

“I stopped in today by chance, I was hungry and have passed this place several times over the years. This place was amazing. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious. My girlfriend had the Nashville chicken Flatbread which was also delicious. We also had the wonton cheese sticks, they were awesome. Our waitress Makayla was great, very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu items. The bar tender Emily also greeted us and asked how the drinks were. Great place, very clean and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.”

“It's an area icon! If you like history. The foods always great there servers are mostly great. But it's sooooo loud u can't have a conversation. If your kiddos are sensitive to sound or anyone is hard of hearing use caution choosing times to go. Otherwise a great piece of history”

“They make their waffle cones fresh everyday. Their ice creams are so good in quality, got to try blueberry waffle in a waffle cone and absolutely loved it. Price is also reasonable. They relocated from Main Street to a different location now and has plenty of parking.”

“Fantastic food and atmosphere! The clam chowder was delicious. We shared the beer battered fried cod and the beer battered fried walleye dinners. Both were perfect with just the right amount of crunch and delicious fish. We loved it and will be back :) the bartender's service was great to boot! He even came to the table to check on us. “It's been awhile since I've had pizza at their location in Round lake. This one in Lake Villa, was awesome.. The pizza was excellent and very tasty. I recommend people try Galati's Restaurant first before going anywhere else.”
