They have changed for the worst. Small,Small portions price was gone up. All former staff is gone. They all blame the new CEO. FOR DESTROYING A FABULOUS BRAND.

I’m not normally one to leave reviews but this was the most disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had. A group of 12 of us ate here for my baby shower on March 16th and I still think about how horrible it was!We made a reservation and our server did not take our food orders for an hour after we were seated. She served drinks only and offered us wet straws that had rolled around on the tray without wrappers. It took another 45 minutes to get our food after ordering and reminding the server. At that point, the food appeared immediately and all of it was cold. The rice was hard and crunchy. A few people sent food back because of this and were forgotten. My chicken enchiladas had been sitting out so long they were cold and the sauce had dried into them. I couldn’t take more than one bite.Of all 12 of us, no one was able to eat more than a few bites and everyone was disappointed with the food and service quality. We asked to speak to the manager (Brandon Bardwell) who came out and said he would speak to the server about it and never came back. We were very polite but he seemed not to care at all about our experience and about the fact that it was 10pm and I was 8 months pregnant and starving!Eventually our server came back with the check and only $20 was comped from the total. We each spent about $30 each on horrible food nobody ate and left hungry. I used to love this place but after this I will not be back.

I come to Uncle Julio’s weekly. It’s my favorite spot in Brookfield. The staff is friendly and are attentive and quick. The hostesses could not be more kind, and management is ALWAYS out on the floor working, running food, greeting customers, and handling to go orders. It’s run well because management cares about the place. I always get the Quesabirria and it’s incredible every time I order. I will never order anything else because it’s pairs so well with the house margarita. I’ve tried a lot of quesabirra in the area Uncle Julio’s truly is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

The service was great...however the food was not authentic Mexican food at all. Seemed like the rice was bagged Uncle Ben's rice...expected refried beans & that wasn't the case. The red sauce wasn't authentic either...all around disappointed about the food! This place is definitely not for me...will not be returning!Parking: Plenty of parking...found out why once I got my plate of food & tasted it!

We (my girlfriend and I) arrived at 6:40 pm and we're told that it would be an hour and forty - five minute wait so we sat in the bar until our table was ready. I noticed that there were a lot of tables that were unseated and it remained that way throughout the night. At the 45 minute mark, there weren't anymore customers waiting for a table and there were still a lot of unseated tables, so I went to the hostess stand and asked how much longer it would be and was told that we still had another 45 minutes left on the timer. Another 15 minutes went by and a a couple of parties walked in and we're seated immediately. I went back to the hostess stand to ask why they were being seated and I was not. There was a different person at the stand and she told me that she should be able to seat us in a couple of minutes. After she sat the two parties that walked in, she came back to get me and my girlfriend, it was now 8:05 pm. The food came fairly quickly but I will say that this place is incredibly expensive. We had the fajitas for two, four drinks, and a soda and my bill was $130.00. This place also gives you the suggested tip based on the taxed total and not the untaxed total so you need to pay attention to that as well. This was a one and done for me, I won't be back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We’ve been to uncle juilios before and the first two times we were blown away. This last time we went left a lot to be desired. The server was really dismissive. We flagged her down multiple times with no avail. The server dropped down our drinks and we asked to order and she just walked away. We ordered 2 carne asadas with corn tortillas. We were given flour and the beans and rice were not brought out until we asked for them. The carne asada meat cuts were really fatty, for what was paid and the experience, it made me regret not going to another mexican restaurant . This last experience has really changed the way we view uncle julios. I can see why the ratings have dropped down to 3 stars.
What an unexpected pleasure! We sat at the bar and Gene from Jersey was our server. He was polite, attentive, and provided great service. The food was fresh and delicious! The smokey salsa was awesome!
