“My mom and I were looking for a place to get a hot lunch near Mauthe Lake today, and Mikes seemed like a good bet. We walked in to a loud 70's-80's soundtrack and a bar decor with a definite northwoods 70's-80's vibe. The music was just too loud for my mother, but when I mentioned that to the staff member, he immediately offered to turn it down a bit, and he did. The menu was mostly apps and sandwiches. The staff (I should have asked their names!) were very attentive. The food came quickly. My mom's grilled ham and cheese on Texas toast (marble rye was also offered) looked good, and she actually finished almost all of it (which is unusual). I ordered a Philly sandwich, which came with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and your choice of cheese. For an upcharge they also offered to add jalapeños, and I took them up on it. WOW! That sandwich was fantastic! The fork that they brought with it was definitely needed to scarf up the bits and pieces of filling that fell out of the roll. I would be willing to plan another trip back just for that! More than a dozen flavors of Cedar Crest ice cream were also available, in a bowl or a cake or waffle cone. I didn't think that my mom would have room for one after that sandwich, but she totally did. (So did I!) The place (including the bathroom) was very clean, and the staff were just wonderful. I highly recommend Mike's for a stop if you are in the area.“
“First time here. The patty melt was amazing. Waffle fries could have been hotter. Soup came out at the same time as dinner. Prime rib was excellent. Looks like needed more help, which is common these days. But the staff was very attentive and did their best. Looking forward to going back and trying more food. The Poppers were amazing. “We stayed at the Scout camp down the road for the weekend. The food at the camp was terrible so we ordered pizzas for carryout. The place was packed and very busy. One bar tender, so I waited a while. Everyone there was very friendly and having a good time. Pizzas were hot and fresh. We were not blown- away by the pizzas but they were good and every slice got eaten. We would go back here again, hopefully to sit down to eat. It's got a cool decor and feel to it here. Give this place a try!“
“I've been wanting to come here for years and finally tried them. I waited too long to come here. We had the Captains Catch which is perch, jumbo shrimp, and choice of haddock or cod. Their perch isn't boney like most places are. Their clam chowder is the best in the area. Their haddock had good texture and flavor as well. It's a big place and parking is plentiful. Can't wait to come back here!“

“Food is really good! the bar up front was Packed! so they sat us in the back hall, which was a little cold, very roomy, and had a middle school cafeteria / gymnasium vibe going. we were there for the fish fry, not the atmosphere! service was great! Note: there is additional parking behind the bar. don't let the full lot out by the road deter you. plenty of seating.“
“Very comfortable place. The ribs with a great dry rub and homemade BBQ sauce on the side were very good and tender. The ribeye stake was one of the best I've had in years. The perch were lighty breaded and tender. We will definitely be back. Very good bourbon selection as well.“
“Thursday night. In town for a high school softball game on June 1. By 6:30pm the bar was full so I was shown the “back” dinning area by the kitchen. Heard it was the best pizza in Campbellsport and they did not disappoint! A PBR makes anything better but the 12” meat lovers needed no help! A good mozzarella pull, steaming hot, perfectly placed and proportioned ingredients made for beautiful pictures. Timely service, great atmosphere, and attentive waitresses made for a big tip that night!!The only thing better would be a homemade crust but you can’t afford that with a one man show in the kitchen—who was fabulous by the way. Will go out of my way to go back!“
