“Went to Max's for an early Saturday dinner while celebrating special events. Seated immediately and the setting/vibe is very nice. Nicely decorated, wood floors, tin ceiling. Friendly capable service from bartender/host/wait staff. We did not feel rushed which was great. I had the jalapeño margarita and it was great. Our water glasses were kept filled and dishes removed promptly from table when we were done with them. The chips and salsa were good and replenished when we requested. The cheese dip was disappointing. Lacked flavor. We did not get the chorizo in it as someone in our group was vegetarian. Maybe chorizo would have helped give it needed flavor? Entrees included buzo tacos with blackened mahi, vegetarian fajitas and swordfish with vegetables. Everything was tasty and filling. I thought the beans with my tacos were just ok. My husband loved the swordfish. After he placed his order for it, the server told him the price in menu was inaccurate due to market price. $4 more than what was on the menu. Best practice would be to have accurate price in the menu OR indicate it is market price (as was the case for the lobster entrees). Just providing constructive criticism. Overall, a fine place to dine. I will come again.“
“Great prices! Friendly service and people that care about the quality of the food they serve. My husband got the chicken dinner, he mentioned that the chicken pieces were smaller than at home, but that it's probably because this was fresher local chickens that aren't pumped full of growth hormones like we're used to in California- so it's a good thing! Their root beer was delish and the shrimp batter is flavorful. Great food grab to take over to Leinenkugels“
“Make reservations here!!! Caleb was our waiter and he was everything a waiter should be. Very impressed. I have high standards with how waitstaff should be, as I used to be one and he was incredible. Attended to each table on its own & did not rush.My husband ordered a caesar salad tossed in ranch and he said that was the best salad he’s ever had. He is a rib eye guy and went ahead and ordered the rib eye, medium rare, with the Irish Whiskey sauce with onions & mushrooms. That had to be the best rib eye him & I have ever had while dining out!!The special was Scallops, topped with a seasoned bread crumb with Au Gratin potatoes & vegetable was green beans. That is what I wanted, so I ordered! These scallops w/ the potatoes were mouth watering, right with the rib eye!**Awesome establishment to take your loved one on a date! Or even a group of family & friends. The stained glass work was nice decor to look at. Nice variety of wines & alcohol beverages to choose from or an ice water with a fresh lemon! I hope this helps you decide on where to go !!!Parking: Because this restaurant is downtown, be prepared to park & walk. Not far, but at least a block. It’s well worth it though! Just drop off your lady. She can wait in the warm entrance for you!“
“Had dinner here for the first time on a recommendation. Food was great, steaks were a perfect med rare, staff was friendly, service was quick with only a 2-3 minute wait, and our waitress Rebecca was spot on. We will definately be return customers.“
“Get down to Stella Blues. Amazing food, generous portions and save room for dessert!!! Shout out to Hollie our server. She had great recommendations and was very patient with us as we were trying to figure out what delicious meal to try for our first experience. We will definitely be back!“
“Just go. It's some of the best Thai we've had and we've had Thai all across the US. The spicy basil rice - amazing. Note that this is take out but they do have a couple of tables in the dining room. We have been going for years and plan our timing through Chippewa based on when they are open. I am posting the menu as the info on the internet isn't too accurate.“
