And honestly, that’s fine because the chocolate croissant, apple danishes and monkey bread are sure-fire winners in their own right.The quality of baked goods is second to none. Everything you see is made within 24 hours, including pastries made the same morning.Another signature creation is the marnie country sourdough, which is made with organic wheat flour and organic rye flour, and couldn’t be more fresh.“

Their candor is dope, Devin is a wizard of brewed things and trust me, the bagels (everything bagel is my fav), croissants, macrons & bread loaves (the pizza bread is amazing for grilled cheese sandwiches) are fantastic. The new breakfast toasts are also worth checking out too. Below is a "pop tart" they made last week and I never knew a pop tart could be elevated but WOW. Awesome.“

“My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. “Treats by Bernadette has the best food and bakery EVER!!! First, the restaurant is sooo clean which is a plus. Everything is homemade and prepared with a whole lotta’ love. The customer service is everything. You are always greeted with a smile. I gotta start with the delicious food. I had a dinner from their soul food Sunday. They had corned beef, oven roasted chicken and bbq spare rib dinners. I had the oven roasted chicken wings, dressing, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, yams and collard greens. All I can say is OMG!!!! The food was outstanding. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I also had some of her banana pudding, lemon cookies and tasted her apple cheesecake. I have seen a few reviews noting slow service, it is a small business and they have limited staff but it is worth the wait. Shorewood is lucky to have such a fantastic coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch option.“

Because after taking one bite of the banana pudding cheesecake I IMMEDIATELY went right back and got more before even finishing the first slice. It might be the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten. My girlfriend agrees and she’s not even as big a cheesecake fan as I am. The young man working behind the counter was extremely helpful and friendly and I owe him my life for recommending the before-mentioned cheesecake. It's a delicious combination that hits the spot every time. I enjoy their indoor environment when it's not too crowded otherwise it can get a bit noisy. Their outdoor seating in the warmer months makes for a great setting to enjoy a nice meal, a cup of coffee, and the warm weather. The order was delivered by DoorDash and the driver ended up DROPPING the entire order right outside of our doors, and NOT SAYING ANYTHING!
