“My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“
“The brown butter dark chocolate mocha I recently had was easily the best espresso drink I have ever tasted. Super balanced between the espresso and flavoring and didn't have that grainy-textutre iced mochas sometimes have. I visit this area every few years and Stone Creek Coffee has been a must-go every time!“
“We ordered 3 flavors of cupcakes (vanilla, german chocolate & carrot) and 2 flavors of macarons (strawberry and lemon) and vanilla iced sugar cookies that were iced absolutely perfect for a baby shower. They went above and beyond & our guests gave so many compliments to how tasty and cute everything was. Definitely don't hesitate to place an order, small or large, they won't disappoint!“
“A bit pricey, but well worth the experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. It really shows that they have a passion for what they do. Mochi drinks with Boba were a real experience . And the bakery items are amazing. Try the Tornado Potatoes while you are here... delish!!!“
“Great brunch spot! Enjoy coming here for the breakfast sandwiches, their bread is fantastic. Plus some fun coffee options, we do the specialty mochas. Generally good customer service, but would recommend against online orders. The time estimates are useless, and on our previous order they changed the bread type twice before we picked up + the entire inside line was completed after we showed up in-person.“
“A very tiny two table establishment cozy with the smell of fresh bakery. Enjoyed lingering over delicious coffee and chai beverages with a great vibe set to good music in the background. The baked goods we took to go were great. I wasn't terribly impressed with the croissants as the lamented dough wasn't very flaky but nonetheless still tasty with my hot beverage. Will definitely continue to patronize.Parking: The adjacent lot is free and available for patrons of the shop“
“Gigi’s cupcakes was one of my favorite parts of my whole wedding. Not only was my cake exactly what I wanted aesthetically but all of the cakes provided were SO good. My main concern was dry cakes and gigis cakes stay good even DAYSS later. Also, customer service was the best. Kristine was so easy to work with and executed everything flawlessly, 10/10 so happy with this choice. THANK YOU.“
“Asked exactly what I needed when I picked up large order for group. Plenty of napkins. Ready in about 40mins for 12 orders. Great food, bread was fantastic! Timely, quick in & out in the morning, will come back again for sure. Plenty of seating if I needed to get some work done as well. Separate entrance & reserved parking from athletic clubParking: Special parking reserved for customers was very convenient“
“If I'm going to buy bread, at least let it be tasty! This is why I have continued to frequent the Breadsmith. I enjoy most of their products, especially their rye loaves, their baguettes, and their rotation of seasonal specialties. The one thing I wish they did better was their challah. Every time I've tried it, it has been slightly dry. I wish I could say it was stellar because it's the closest location serving up weekly challah but, darn! Seriously though, nearly everything else is top notch!“
“Question: How do u get a twofer of shrimp scampi, chicken orzo, and the new tiramasu cold brew for only 1.99? Become a member. I love a good deal, and u can't beat that. The restaurant itself is always bright, clean, and organized. The staff is helpful and quick. Today Emily worked her magic and I was able to combine deals and have a lunch for this ridiculously cheap price. By far my main reason I love this location is the huge windows. U can see if the highway is gonna suck. U can see hawk, seagulls and Robin's swoop. U can see people smiling as they leave laden with purchases. Great view and great prices that's a twofer.“
“So this is a mixed review. I made my first order through DoorDash. The store was kind enough to call me to let me know they were out of the berry-filled beignets which I appreciated. The woman offered to replace my item with something else, but I declined. Unfortunately because it was through DoorDash, they couldn't refund that item to my card so I had to do so through the DoorDash app. No biggie. I received the other two items I ordered without a problem. Here's where it gets tricky - I ordered the pistachio eclair and a creme brulee. The flavor of both were amazing! So delicious! My only 'complaint' is for $5.87 I got a 1/2 of an eclair and the for $9.40 I got a mini creme brulee. The eclair was half as wide, literally an eclair stick and the creme brulee was about the size of the palm of my hand, if that. For the price, I don't think I'd order here again. I'd consider going to the location and dining in to avoid the extra cost of the DoorDash fees, but it was just too expensive for what I received. Sorry - forgot pics because I literally tore into it. :)“
“This place is a gem for all the goods from cupcakes to cookies to the people’s fave lunch items the chicken pitas jerk salmon salad or even the highly requested cheesecake jars. I spend at least $35 every visit because I need to leave with a bag full. On top of all that owners are so dope & sweet. Check them out you won’t be disappointed unless you going there without a appetite & love. “
