This place took my request seriously and made me the most delicious Gluten Free breakfast I’ve had in a very long time!! And instead of GF bread I ordered gluten free pancakes! So yummy!!! I can tell you it feels so good when you can eat out safely while traveling! I highly recommend Mimosa’s!”

“We came in at 10 am for brunch with a party of 8. We tried so many dishes and everything was delicious. Portions were large and we all had leftovers to take home. The owner and staff were great! There is a vey nice beer list. Would like to come back and try some cocktails another time. The vegan jollof rice , lemon dita fries, and collard greens were amazing. Prices were very reasonable able as well.”

“My friend, Margaret, introduced me to Hillside. Great place to meet and catch up with friends and family. We went for the delicious, specialty coffee, but were more than tempted to see the yummy pastries available. They also have homemade breakfast sandwiches for sale. Staff has always been more than accommodating whether they're at the counter or as Barista. Also, look forward to their Cinnamon Rolls available only on Sundays. Rose, the owner, and former baker, has hit a home run with this place. She's sweet as a peach and her shop is very warm and welcoming. You'll find beautiful, hand crafted and delicate pastries to go with your fabulous coffee. Love this place and hope it's part of Oak Creek for a long time to come.”

“I ordered 2 dozen mini cotton candy cupcakes for my 90s theme birthday party. I thought I had ordered funfetti cake so when I got home and saw that it was plain white cake I called to find out where the error occurred. It was my mistake we found out but they wanted to try to make the order right for me and offered to add colorful sprinkles to give the cupcakes more color. They were very friendly and went above and beyond even though I made the error. I’ve been a regular customer for a few months now and I’m happy to continue supporting! “Hands down, the BEST restaurant I've been to in the Milwaukee area. Merica was our server and she was simply the best- friendly, professional, funny, and very knowledgeable about the cuisine. Our food was phenomenal, we ordered seconds of the Jamaican goat and the duck wontons. The restaurant offered to let us sample the fall dessert menu ahead of time for free, this was the best restaurant experience I've ever had, you've got a life long customer from here on out. For me, two of those places were Just Brew It in Union Grove, Wisconsin, and the North Star Bar in Rochester, Minnesota. At Just Brew It, after only a couple of visits, the staff began greeting me by name every time I walked through the door. It reminded me of Norm from Cheers—that easy ritual of belonging where the world pauses to say, you matter here. The drinks were good, the people were kind, but it was that simple recognition, that moment of being known, that made the coffee shop feel like family. The North Star Bar carried the same magic in its own way. Whenever I walked in, they’d call out, “Georgia,” not just as a nickname but as a nod to where I came from. It was playful, affectionate, and grounding. No matter how far I was from home, I carried a piece of it in the way they saw me. Both places remind me that what makes a space sacred isn’t the bricks or beams—it’s the people who look at you, smile, and say, you belong.”

“Mocha Lisa is very welcoming and has a variety of coffee and noncoffee options. They have lots of sugarfree options as well, which I personally appreciate. It is a great place to meet friends, take a beverage to go or sit outside in the amazing outdoor seating area. Sheri, Craig and the baristas are wonderful. They are very creative with their monthly specials and will offer suggestions to help you decide on a tasty beverage. Mocha Lisa is an amazing local gem.”
