“The ramen was delicious. I give that 5 stars. But the wings were disappointing. Tiniest things I've ever been served. Barely any meat. I won't order those again... But the ramen was so good, I'll go back again for that.Wish there was more parking. Had to walk quite a distance from my parking spot to get there.“
“Fantastic sushi & service! We were watching the last couple minutes of NCAA Tournament on our phone Northwestern vs FAU. They asked who we were cheering for. Surprised us with this awesome artwork with our sushi! Will definitely be back!“
“Very clean. Great fast and friendly service. Soup and salad was really good love the dressing. Beef lo-mein was a little bland and meat seemed kinda like tv dinner meat same with the teriyaki chicken was weird cut up pieces that dont seem like it was cut from a breast or anything. But other than that it all had good flavor and everything was fresh and clean. Id give it 5 stars if the meat was a real sliced breast with maybe a little char or something. This meat seemed boiled or something not grilled.“
“Had the all you can eat lunch deal ($17.99 / person). They give you a slip to fill out with all you can eat appetizer, soup, salad, rolls, dessert etc included. Definitely worth the money. Service was prompt also when we asked for more sushi. Tasted very good.“
“Food was tasty and fresh. I loved it so much I ordered another bowl to go. I wouldn't bother with the drinks though. Just get the food.Parking: Parking is very limited and hard to get. I had to walk 3 blocks away. If you get luck there is like parking enough to fit like 5 to 6 cars by them.“
“So glad food like this is in the area besides burgers, fries, chicken and pizza. Everything looks fresh and the clean, open concept of the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. I usually do the make your bowl poke and it's always delicious. This would be perfect for the Menomonee Falls/Germantown, WI area too! Hope you all consider coming that way ☺️“
“I can't believe I hadn't ordered pickup from Screaming Tuna in a while, and I can't believe I had not reviewed them before, so... WooHoo, yes, they have vegan and vegan-izable options! It's very easy to place your order online and the rolls are delicious. Also, great spot for outdoor dining when the weather permits.“
“Went here for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food is good with a large variety of options, including vegetarian sushi options. We got the all-you-can-eat, but there is a big difference between lunch and dinner prices, with dinner prices being set for the whole day on weekends.Vegetarian options: Options for vegetarian sushi rolls consisting of vegetables as main ingredients“
“Went here for our anniversary. Had a wonderful time and our chef was very entertaining and humorous. Staff was very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was delicious, and the experience unforgettable. Prices were reasonable, and portions plentiful. Definitely coming back!“
“Our family loves this restaurant so much. We love being greeted every time we come with Michelle’s wonderful smile too. The food has always been amazing and never disappoints. It’s always a work of art too.Our dinner tonight was amazing as always and beautiful!! Thank you.“
“Always great food, a ton of options to choose from. The sushi comes with the buffet, and is made fresh in front of you, you just add as much to your plate as you'd like. The buffet area has dozens of flavorful options, and is always quickly re-stocked. (Picture a typical Chinese buffet). The prices, especially for the lunch buffet, are an incredible bargain. Never had a bad experience, and never walked away without being absolutely stuffed with food! Highly highly recommend this place.“
“Went there to celebrate a birthday, had a fabulous time and will definitely be going back! Sat at a Hibachi table and our chef Brian, put on a phenomenal show, making everyone at the table laugh! Food was delicious and the service was excellent.“
“This place has one of the more interesting rolls that I have seen in my life. They call it the monkey roll and it has banana in it. I really recommend trying that roll as I enjoyed it the most out of everything I got there. Besides that this is a very average sushi place.“
“This is a gem of find. Food is delicious and service is impressive. It was the trifecta of Bao buns, dumplings, and sushi. The bbq Bao buns were delicious and moist. The steam and pan fried dumplings had a fresh and flavorful filling. The sushi was also on point. This is the 1st time I've experience such great quality in all those dishes in one place. I'm already planning my next visit.“
“In my honest opinion I think they have the best sushi in Milwaukee. I’ve tried many sushi restaurants and they still are my number one choice. Food is exceptional and my favorite roll is the Snow White Makki. The customer service isn’t amazing and high end but to me it’s not a big deal. Sometimes you have a very good waiter/waitress and then other times not so good.“
“I’ve been ordering from Wasabi for the last 4 years and my food has been so good every time. I usually order online and pick it up, always on time, always quick. Anna and Jay especially are the absolute best Vegetarian options: The sweet potato roll with cream cheese and the tempura veggies appetizer are my favorite.“
“5-star ratings should be by definition hard to obtain. We'll give Kanpai a 4+. The sushi varietals were outstanding, service was very good, enjoyable contemporary ambience, and noise level was moderate. Pricing was a bit high, as we've come to expect in the Third Ward. Kanpai is a little short on red wine selections. There's a perfect space on the menu for one or two red blends. We'll be back!“
“Very hip space and friendly staff. It was easy to get a spot here for a weekday lunch, though I could imagine it gets busy for dinner. The moo ping (pork skewers) came recommended and were delicious, perfect texture and very tender meat. The Bermuda Triangle roll was very good though had a bit too much sauce. They have a kids menu with meals for only $6 and daily specials, including half off select bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Overall highly recommend and look forward to coming back!“
“Hands down the best Japanese/Sushi restaurant in Milwaukee area. They have the best Sushi and service. We were given a free desert today just randomly. Also a beautiful location it really makes it feel authentic like an actual restaurant in Japan.“
“I honestly love their Fresh fruit smoothie with tapioca boba. They have the best Crab Rangoon I have had to date.Their menu and place does need some work. I really want this place to do well. I have come here occasionally for over 10 years. I would love them to get to their next level for dining and cuisine.I think they could do well if they made more things from scratch that were signature dishes. Stay Fresh, that’s what keeps me coming back. Homemade tapioca boba taste the best.“
“My favorite sushi in Milwaukee (Maybe even anywhere)! Who knew amazing sushi could come from a food truck? My husband & I absolutely love it here. The Brewers sushi burritos, Dragon rolls, Dumplings, Spicy Tuna & boba tea are my favs, but really everything on the menu is great.I'm also very picky with seaweed wraps, because some places have hard to chew & overly textured. I don't have that problem at Modern Maki! Their shrimp is always so tasty & crispy in the Dragon rolls, that it could be one of my favorite shrimps ever. But probably my absolute favorite thing about this place is the rice in the sushi! It's always made for perfection. So soft & magnificent.I highly recommend!“
“This was my first time here at Kawa. I wanted to try something different, and I have seafood allergies. Steven was very helpful with letting the people she works with know that. I never tasted Eel before, and Steven said it was delicious. So, I ordered the Eel (unagi), and it was delicious. I asked what other things she had tried and / or wanted to offer for suggestions, and she showed me different pictures of food so that I could see what it looked like. I then ordered an Unagi Don, which is grilled Eel, sesame, pickled reddish, and Eel sauce over rice. The seaweed salad was okay, and the Eel was delicious. Thank you, Steven, for helping my daughter and I with the menu, trying NEW FOODS, and being FABOULOUS ;) I will definitely come back and try something different“
“As always, Japanica for the win! The service, chef show, and food are all incredible! Huge menu selection, full bar, and clean environment add even more. Be sure to make reservations for large groups, or prepare to wait for a hibachi chef.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, keto, and Paleo options all available.Parking: Enormous surface lot with plenty of handicap spaces availableKid-friendliness: I always bring the whole family...Ages 5-65Everyone has a great time and I've never heard a single complaint about the food.Wheelchair accessibility: Aisles are wide open. Plenty of accessibility throughout.“
“They have the best ramen that I have ever had. I don't eat pork, so it can be hard to find pork-free ramen that's flavorful. This bowl is so tasty on its own that you do not need to add any meat (or tofu) to it. I've ordered other things, but usually wish I had just stuck with the ramen cuz it's that good. Unless you can stand a lot of heat, go with the mild which is still pretty spicy. And I grew up eating Indian food, so heat is something I'm used to. And: Help support small businesses like Maki Yaki during this difficult time! You can get the ramen as take out...“
“One of the best stops for lunch to go / pick up in the 3rd ward area downtown. The lunch specials are a good go-to. You can get one or two entrees. It’s been my go to, but today I did notice the price was $3 more than what was marketed on their chalkboard.Grab a meal to go, stay at their bar, or take it upstairs. You can park in the public market and get a free 1 hour voucher as long as you save your receipt.“
“Absolutely excellent food and mostly nice staff. Our one bad visit is when we came once when the dining room was wide open but they we're expecting a couple big reservations in over an hour from then and they acted like it was a problem or a burden to seat us. They made a big show of making us wait while they looked around the dining room and "checked in back". They ended up reluctantly seating us. We were done with our meals and out of there before the big parties even arrived. So treating us like they were doing us a favor to seat us was a bummer because we love the food here so much and have been regulars for years now. At that particular meal we had brought 2 people with us from out of state who had never been there. We raved about it and were really disappointed that had been their first impression. Needless to say, this encounter hasn't stopped us from returning. We've had pleasant experiences since. Maybe that was just a bad day, I'm not sure. Glad we haven't experienced that again.“
