Olio has such a cozy relaxing atmosphere and all of the food we had was delicious! The fried eggplant was amazing! We had a party of six so we were able to try a lot of the menu and it was all so good. Britt, our server, was awesome and had great recommendations. You can tell everything is freshly made. We will definitely be coming back.

We made a reservation for four six weeks in advance for a Friday evening at 7:45. Arrived ten minutes early. No tables and no room at the bar. We were sent to Manger down the street to wait for a half hour, which we did. Spent over $100 on wine and oysters. Came back a half hour later, still no table. Had to wait another ten minutes before being seated. Wait staff did little to assist us in ordering. Menu posted online and in the restaurant were different - no short ribs. Will not be going back to Olio but are returning to Manger.

Had an 8:45 reservation, and the hostess was great, and we were seated quickly. Tiny place with just a handful of tables. Ordered Bruschetta for an app, and it was really good, but just two pieces. Ordered two Caesar salads that we never received, but were charged. No big deal, because we said we would take them with the meal. There were two servers, but at this time there were only 3-4 tables with diners sitting. Our server never checked to see if we needed anything for the 75 minutes we were there. The hostess delivered our entrees. Service was poor. Entrees are very small, and my crab dish (Paccheri) quite literally had zero crab, however the flavors were great. My date had Calamarata, and it was pretty good, but again very small portion. Because of the size of the place, it was loud. Hard to hear across a small table. Spent just over $100 (without the salads we didn’t get) for 1 drink, 1 non-alcoholic drink, 1 Bruschetta and 2 entrees. The topper was they didn’t have the ice cream to make an Affogato for desert.I want to go back, because the flavor of my entree was fantastic, but, the rest will keep me away.

This was the best restaurant experience I've had in a while! The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and warm. So many lovely details were thoughtfully added to the space. The service was incredible. My friend and I like to order two of everything and split, so we can try as many items as possible. Our server took our wine, appetizer, entrée, and dessert order all at once, didn't write anything down, and got our entire meal 100% correct. She was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. I had finished my wine off towards the end of our meal, and when she asked if I wanted another glass I said I wasn't sure I could finish another, but it was so good I'd love more, and she said "I can pour a half glass!" I didn't know that was a possibility and was so thrilled about it!The food was out of this world. I'm still dreaming about the herbed butter that comes with the focaccia. Our pastas were so, so good. And the chocolate cake - to die for. This was a 10/10 experience, I'd highly recommend attempting to get a reservation, and will definitely plan on going back soon.Vegetarian options: There were a few items marked "V" on the menu, but I couldn't tell whether that meant vegetarian or vegan. You'll definitely need to ask a server before ordering. The Campanelle pasta seems like it's vegetarian based on the menu, and that's what I had, but it's not labeled as such.Parking: Street parking is available. I went on a Wednesday at 7 pm and had to park about a block away. My friend showed up about 2 minutes after me and snagged a spot right out front. With the 2 hour dinner reservation time, it's likely someone will be leaving when you're arriving, so I'd circle the block a few times close to your reservation slot.Kid-friendliness: I have a 3 and 5 year old. I think this restaurant is better suited to older children (10+), and really best for adults.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't have anyone in my party who required accessibility accommodations. The space is very snug. I would call ahead if you make a reservation to see if they can seat you at a specific table.

Olio is THE Italian restaurant in Bayport and probably even Stillwater. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance to be safe but I'm sure anyone could walk in and sit at the bar for food and/or drinks. Their cocktails are different but soooooo good. I recommend their version of the martini. I don't even like vodka and this was my favorite cocktail on the menu.Service was excellent. We were well taken care of. We decided to split a number of things and ordered one of the entrees off their specials menu for the week. Possibly some of the best spaghetti I've ever had. The chocolate cake came with a homemade olive oil ice cream that was indescribable!!!!We love Olio! We will be regulars!
