“I was here for the New Years buffet. It was awesome! The prime rib was so tender I cut it with a bitter knife and very tasty. The jumbo breaded shrimp was perfect. The broasted chicken was very moist and tasty. The salad bar was a nice size. The green beans were perfect. Plus there was too much food for me to try. I will be back!”
“Overall experience here is great. Whether you are just stopping in for a coffee or bringing the family in for dinner, its a great all around experience. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Food is excellent from the pizzas, to the breakfast menu, to their many sandwich selections. All of it is extremely ”
“A great variety to choose from, the blueberry cheesecake shake was awesome, and staff was very friendly. What's not to love! So glad to have this so close to home!”
“I walked in was greeted by a wonderful owner that visibly enjoyed blessing her guest. Thank you for making my day wonderful. The pie is beautiful and will be enjoyed very soon.”
“First came here when they first came into business and I wasn't impressed with the food being like straight out of a package. Now the food tastes and looks like it is all hand made. I really like the desert options and I especially like the Seafood enchilada that I don't believe a person can't get in mnay places. It has crab and I think Shimp. All dishes there, you get a Taco with the works.Kid-friendliness: Good for an authentic Mexican Experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Very well suited for it.”
“It's often hard to find a good latte in and around the small towns of Wisconsin but you can find it at The Open Door. The service is always welcoming and prompt. plenty of space if you decide to have your beverage in house or take a stroll by the water nearby. Food is available, pastries and other snacks as well. Bulk coffee can be purchased too. Hot or Iced grab that coffee at the Open Door next time you are in Mayville!”
“This place has events there for Bingo on Wednesdays. It is really cool that it has factoids on the tables to eat where it will tell you about the state and states near, or important to the place. I always go to get a Pizza there that has all the topics on it I like.”
“The owners are so kind and helpful! They addressed all my questions with so much understanding of all the information including what is a plus for each brand of the same product to help make your choice easier. I absolutely love getting my natural and holistic items here!! I have not had anything to eat there yet but I can't imagine it's not awesome.”
“It was our first time the 5 of us really enjoyed everything, except it was really busy and loud. Someone had a birthday party that was just starting to leave when we got there. We will be coming back, but we will wait until it warms up outside so we can eat outside.”
“Atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, perfect portions! We stopped for a quick lunch bite on Sunday, but I quickly changed my mind and ordered the chefs special of the day- tilapia, garlic mashed and asparagus! Can’t wait to try other items on the menu!”
“First visit to this amazing wine bar....has a cozy feeling with two awesome bar keepers....Brenda and Hannah....lots of laughs.....I’ll be back! Pat Krieser Shikoski”
“Small bar on the outside of town but very nice. Owners are very sweet. Bar and bathrooms are clean and well-kept. Only downfall is that I didn't stop in here sooner!”
“Was my first time stopping here, I missed the ladies name but she was the sweetest. Had my FAVORITE: iced white chocolate mocha with almond milk. Lots of options to choose from. Reasonable price. I recommend stopping in for your morning cup of joe!!!”
“I had the double cheese burger which was very good. My wife had the special which was 10 chicken wings for $12 she said they were not that good no meat and lots of breading. Here sprite tasted like seltzer water.”
“Loved the bartenders, great service, and a very friendly environment. I went for drinks with my daughter there and had a blast. It was Tuesday free pool night and made some new friends playing pool. I would definitely go back.”
“Stopped for breakfast with my daughter, we both had the gypsy skillet and we were both very pleased with our meal. Clean plate club!!! Staff is very friendly and welcoming.”
“My wife and I were in town for business and made a quick decision to stop. THE FOOD and STAFF are awesome. Great fish dinner and reasonably priced. La Crosse could learn from this place how good and atmosphere should be”
“The Hartford FFA CHILI DINNER was another tasty experience this year, and in the confines of Lisko's you're surrounded by friendly folks and a chance to socialize with Ronny at the bar. Lots of smiles, laughs and fun on tap at Lisko's!”
“Small town bar. Great place to spend a Sunday. Free food, cheap drinks, great atmosphere. The lady that was working behind the bar was the sweetest! She introduced us to my first salted nut roll, this was a shot, and was delicious.”
“A nice pub with good pub food and a nice view of the river. Outside seating available. Servers are great, drinks are good, prices reasonable, and we enjoyed ourselvesWheelchair accessibility: A wonderful ramp takes you right in to the seating area. Our 89-year-old mother really appreciated it.”
“Didn't know it was carryout only, but we came from Beaver Dam, and wanted to try it anyway. We were not disappointed! I have to say that this was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. I got the chicken with green beans, and it was simple (in a good way), fresh, and very tasty. So many times I've ordered Chinese dishes elsewhere, and they have a lot of "filler" ingredients and veggies that weren't on the menu. That's not the case here. It was just fresh tasting green beans, delicious tender chicken, and a yummy mildly spicy sauce. Simple and perfect. My partner also liked what he ordered (Kung Pow), and I think their egg rolls are some of the best I've had, as well. This little place is an unassuming hidden gem, and Horicon is lucky to have a restaurant like this!”
“Stopped in last night during the snowstorm. Place was pretty busy but we got our food fast. And it was amazing. Easily one of the best steak sandwiches I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back.”
“We stopped in here for a drink on the way home from the races at Slinger Speedway last Sunday night. The Rubicon Oasis is a NICE small town bar. Remodeled fairly recently, with an adequate beer selection (they had hard cider on tap when we were there). Pizza is available if you're hungry. They DO NOT take charge cards BUT there is an ATM right in the bar.”
“Wonderful place to have a couple beers and relax. Barmisstress, Kristina, yes with a K, is charming and customers are like me. Hope you can make it here sometime, it reminds me of a rustic bar out west.”
“Food, drinks and service were great. The sour cream and chive fries beat Saz's. The dill pickle cheese curd burger special was great as well. Our server was friendly and attentive and we were able to enjoy the Badger game.”
“Had the Irish breakfast for St Paddy's.The food was incredible and you could tell the buffet was made with care.Welcoming atmosphere and plentiful beer.Looking forward to another feast.”
“Been wanting to stop for years, finally had breakfast this morning and it was amazing. Great service, delicious food, bonus points for real american fries. Super welcoming as well! My new "go to" when I'm up North!”
“Pretty much a bar that also serves some food. Fish Fry was good at a very reasonable price. Met Lynn Dickie, former GB quarterback while we were there. Small, quaint and a favorite of the locals. Cash only with an ATM. Nice place.”
