Flying Pie Pizza Pizza • $
111 Main St S, Luck

“Take & Bake pizza made fresh to order! What's not to like? Design your own pizza with all of your favorite toppings or choose from a solid list of Flying Pie Pizza selections. Red sauce or Alfredo - they're both great. You can call in your order or swing by and give it in person. Depending on how busy they are, they'll have your pizza ready to take home and pop in the oven in 10 to 20 minutes or so. I was there on a weeknight and waited about 15 minutes for our pie. Their large pizza is 16" of goodness. They also have small and medium sizes. What we really liked was that their pizzas bake up to perfection following the instructions. We liked the thin crispy crust and generous toppings. The friendly service is a plus too!“

“We stayed in Frederic for our anniversary at an Airbnb. We stopped at the Tin Shed for breakfast one morning and absolutely fell in love with this staff, this town and its community. The food is AMAZING and the staff are incredibly kind to every table. They work so hard. You get the sense that this community is very close and that this place is a staple in the town - it was beautiful to watch and we felt so privileged to observe the magic behind this place. We went back the next morning before heading back to the Cities and it was the same experience once again. Cant recommend this place enough - what a find for tourists passing through! Looking forward to returning to this restaurant in the future :)“

“The first time, won't be my last! Soup and sandwich special on Friday was on point and just what I was looking for. I didn't even get a chance to look over the menu that I have heard so much about. The soup was fantastic, and although i wish the sandwich had one more piece of fish on it, it was very good also. Looking forward to my next visit.“

“*Updated November 24th, 2023We still love coming here. The staff are friendly, attentive, and even accommodated us when our original group of 5 for dinner swelled to 9 and we had to pause our food order for half an hour while the rest arrived.Food was hot and fresh, and so good! I had the garlic chicken parmesan with fries... Whatever that garlic Parm sauce is, it is punchy and delicious!Love coming here, especially when we are out riding our ATVs. Always friendly, fast service and tasty drinks and food.“

Love Tree Farmstead Cheese Pizza • $$
12413 Co Rd Z, Grantsburg

“I cannot review Dave and Mary's pizza, as I have never personally been to their farm. But I can attest to the incredible quality of their cheese and their livestock guard dogs. They shipped us three puppies in 2015. They are now mature working dogs and they are outstanding. They're extremely healthy and fit, intelligent, alert, but gentle. We have not had any behavioral problems nor adolescent hijinks. Never a scratch on the stock from them. They are just perfect. Mary and Dave make their own dog food from scratch, and shared the recipe with us which we use for our dogs. They use some of the extra cast off material from their cheesemaking operation to supplement their dogs' diet. When the pups came air cargo, instead of a bag of kibble with their shipping crates, they had a bag of cheddar cheese curds. The 'dog food' smelled so incredible that we could not help but taste the curds ourselves. If I lived anywhere near Lovetree Farm, that would be the only cheese I would buy. Dave and Mary are super committed to sustainable agriculture. I know that it is a difficult field fo a woman to break into and stay in. It is a male dominated game. But Mary perseveres and her results are amazing. I would go to any length to support her efforts in agriculture. In my own experience as a farmer for nearly 20 years, there is the occasional review or customer who will complain about the cost of artisanal products. Generally someone who complains about it has no idea how much work goes into it, and they don't realize how subsidized and unsustainable grocery store food products are. And finally, they may just not have the discernment to taste the difference between a styrofoam tomato and an heirloom grown organically in a field, between Kraft Cracker Barrel cheese or a handmade cheddar from pasture raised animals. To each his own. Our nation is blessedly full of choices and options for every wallet and taste bud. If you raise livestock or poultry and need a great reliable LGD to help you manage predation on your stock, I highly recommend Lovetree's legendary dogs. And I would definitely pick up some cheese and eat a pizza. If you love open spaces and healthy food and a clean, chemical free planet, and you can afford it, support sustainable agriculture. Even if it costs you a little more personally. It's the right thing to do. Well worth the investment.“
