Though there was a ~30 minute wait (for Saturday lunch), it was well worth it! The menu options all looked good, but I decided to go with Three Grain & Tempeh bowl. I've never had tempeh before, but it was warm, hearty, and perfect for a cold day. It was also very reasonably priced at $15.50 (before tax & tip). Though it was really busy, the inside was very warm & cozy. Overall, highly recommend!

really cute and cozy brunch spot with pretty decorations!! the wait for 3 was about 30ish minutes on a sunday morning. i ordered the lavender white mocha which was UNREAL. the bacon & spinach omelette was mid, i didn't love the sun dried tomato in it and the cheese felt unevenly distributed. the rosemary toast was INCREDIBLE, i need to figure out where else i can get this in madison. the marigold breakfast sandwich was also good but imagine if they subbed out the ciabatta for the rosemary toast tho......... otherwise you order at the front and then seat yourself & they'll bring it out to you!

Super interesting place, deserves 4.5 stars, but I can't award that. Marigold has a mostly Mexican kitchen staff and that pulls through to the menu. The kitchen is fully visible and is a well-oiled machine. Restaurant is very busy and its an order at the counter and your given a number, so no wait staff which means no one checking on refills or at least that was my experience in sitting at the bar, so this is where i take a star away. I feel that a $20 dollar meal and a $4 dollar tip warrants some service like a refill of coffee, so i think this could be improved. I had the Chilaquiles which was solid, presentation was perfect, salsa verde lacked any capsaicin, slaw was delicious as well as pickled onions and jalapeños, but something was missing at least for me and that could be a little capsaicin heat that i expected. Drip coffee was outstanding and energy and the vibe of an amazing city like Madison

I love their plates but hate the location. It's always hard to get to and the Tenney parking garage you must avoid at all cost! Worst build garage, cars get stuck all the time.

Went for brunch. It was awesome! My daughter had the breakfast burrito and loved it. Staff were very nice

This is one of my favorite places in Madison. I’ve never had a bad meal here, and each time I come in, everyone from the cashiers to the servers are smiling. I always look forward to coming back when I’m in town.

Delightful breakfast lunch spot near Capitol. Fabulous service, delicious breakfast items, and an all round great vibe with Dave Hamilton style jazz R&B tunes playing. Highly recommend.

It was so busy on weekend morning that I was surprised when I got the food at about what felt like faster than a normal restaurant experience. Delicious sweet potato hash browns. The young staff were very friendly and energetic. Relaxing painted dining area with nice decorations. Can be a little noisy even with a high ceiling because a lot of the customers talk but I assume it’s because they feel comfortable and cozy and also there a a lot of tables in the space

Was looking for someplace other than the hotel for breakfast and came across this little gem in downtown Madison. When you arrive, you order at the counter and then they gave you a table marker and you seat yourself. I ordered a latte and French Toast. The latte came out first and was really good. The French Toast was delicious and overall, really enjoyed my breakfast here. Would definitely come again the next time I'm in the Madison area.

Marigold Kitchen has become one of my favorite spots in Madison. Any place outside of a serious Mexican or Southwestern spot that claims to do both chilaquiles *and* huevos rancheros had better do it very, very well, and while not what I'd find in Santa Fe, they do an outstanding job on their interpretation of the classics. Back that up with great coffee and excellent service, and it's why I'll keep going back. Also - it's been 4 years since I've been there - long enough that many places have changed (often not for the better), and they've held the same high standards. Great job!

Per a few friend’s recommendation, I stopped at Marigold when I was in Madison. We went on a Friday morning and it was packed! But we were seated fairly quickly, and honestly, totally worth waiting for. My breakfast sandwich was so good, I loved the cheeses and bacon. I was full for a while! Very cute space, great service. A 10/10 from me!
