I deliver with doordash in my spare time. Tonight I had the worst experience. I was accosted by an older gentleman working the drive-thru. As I pulled up to the speaker he placed me on hold. I decided since there was only one car ahead of me I would just drive to the window. He didn't appreciate that at all. He was visibly irate because of it. I showed him my phone and told him I was there to pick up a couple orders from doordash. He gave me the first order and when I told him there was a second he began yelling, and cursing at me. I demanded he stop getting hot with me and that I don't place the orders I only pick up the food. He then became physically aggressive, threatened to cancel the order and then slammed the window shut after I threatened to call the police if he was going to continue to be so verbally abusive to me. He began serving the car behind me through the second drive through window. I pulled my car foward, exited and approached the window asking for his name, a request he ignored. A young woman came through the dining room and gave me the order several minutes later. I asked her for his name, as I'm sure you might imagine I was upset about how I was just spoken to by this man, but I was remaining calm. When she refused, I insisted I get his name. This woman became visibly upset that I wasn't leaving and that I was blocking her from closing the dining room door. She asserted I wasn't getting his name. The situation was escalating and I did not trust these people. I dialed 911 and put the dispatch on speaker while this young woman was infornt of me. I told the dispatcher I was at Wendy's and that the employees were being insane. The woman then verbally accosted the dispatcher and physically threatened me. The older gentleman then began approaching. I wasn't looking to start a fight and this was clearly heading towards a physical altercation so I immediately left. I filed a report with the corporate office, with doordash and with the police. These people were insane, they had no professionalism, no composure, and no restraint. This was the most unwelcome and unsafe I've felt doing this job.
