Solid food, good portions and friendly staff. Staff hustles and check on you just the right amount of times. Coffee mug will never go empty.
Very nice. Waitress excellent. Very clean. Prices best in town for what you get. Will go there more often.
Great again! Rainbow Trout and I had Tenderloin Tips with noodles and gravy. ?
Golden Flame is a Manitowoc Landmark. We been going there for Breakfast, mostly on the Weekends. I Always get the Golden Flame Special. Great friendly service, and very affordable. Highly recommend it!
Not bad at all, a little dated and could use some updating, But fast service e, good food at reasonable able prices, us the customer service is attentive and friendly. Worth checking out.
The best place to eat in Manitowoc. HANDS DOWN.
Consistent home cooking, down home favorites, desserts like Grammy made. Best. Cinnamon. Rolls. In Town. $2.Variety of soups daily, economical prices, good portions, not crazy, not small, somehow just right. I often call in my breakfast request on the way to work, and I'm in and out in no time flat. Don't forget the cinnamon rolls ?
Soggy toast and waffle. Asked for fresh strawberries but got what was basically pie filling. Food was overcooked and not made how I requested. After a year the food quality seems to be the same, ill keep business to better quality breakfast restaurants.
I was surprised how much variety there is on the menu. I opted for the Berry Salad (one of the specials) with grilled chicken, and iced tea. It came with soup (I had a very tasty tomato vegetable soup with alphabet noodles), and a generic dinner roll with butter. The salad was a bed of mixed greens, topped with a generous portion of fresh-grilled chicken (it was still warm!), blueberries, strawberries, and feta cheese, with a nice vinaigrette dressing served on the side. It was a pretty presentation, with a ring of sliced strawberries arranged around the edge of the plate. This was a perfect lunch on a hot summer day. My waitress was friendly and pleasant, and available for drink refills, etc. without being pushy or intrusive. I visit Manitowoc often, but have not stopped here before. I will definitely be back.
Me and an army buddy were on vacation. We had checked out of our hotel, and we're looking for a place to grab quick, but filling meal before we had to embark on the SS Badger. Since the area is all torn up by road construction, there weren't a lot of ways for us to get around easily. Luckily for us, I remembered the golden flame from my days as a kid. It was still there, and it was everything I remembered it being. We were able to get seated, order, and enjoy our meal with plenty of time left to check in at the carferry.
This place is a hidden gem! They have a huge, varied menu. The food is delicious. Their chicken dumpling soup was some of the best I've ever had. You even get desert with the dinners! Wait staff was very helpful and charming. Wonderful place for a family. The prices are unbelievably low. Awesome?
Take that I didn't like it at all I guess they have their days because the first time I tried they were pretty good but every other time after that I feel was a waste of my time and my money and I ended up eating somewhere else when the whole family dislikes it we take them off our list
I had, as always, a delicious breakfast and I ordered soup and a sandwich to go! The restaurant picked up my entire tab and told me to pay it forward! It made my day! Needless to say I left a very large tip!
Staff was super attentive and the breakfast was delicious we will definitely come back
Food was good nothing super special. Good prices and good portions for the money.
