The sound system is awful but at least they can make a cosmo. Not enough seating. Kinda clique-y.

I'll start by saying I absolutely hate giving low star reviews... The servers were super nice, the service was good, and it's in a great location but that's about the best I can say. The place is a typical Wisconsin dive bar which I love but it's doesn't have the quality other dives have. I tried the margarita (which was the daily special) and a whiskey coke. Both were really wonky tasting and pretty watery. The drinks and tables were also really sticky and the place didn't seem like it was cleaned any time recently- which is very important given the state of the world right now. The drinks were so bad that we didn't stay for food so I can't comment on that. Hopefully the food is a bit better. They have potential but need to do better on sanitary practices and quality of beverages.

It's been about 20 years since I visited Hody's. The burgers were great then and still are!! The service was also wonderful!!

Went with a friend for a drink. Normally I like this bar which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. When we went there was no social distancing, some of the servers weren't wearing masks, besides a low-ish number of patrons on a Friday night it was almost like covid didn't exist. I do like the plastic partitions they put up at the bar.

Stopped again on our travels...just for dinner. Ended up spending the evening playing pool and hanging out with the good crowd of people that frequent there... Recommended stop!
Great little hometown bar-- also great food, good atmosphere. No complaints!

I miss playing pool, but their classic beers on Monday is a hit. Good service too. $1.50 for a sixteen oz. beer is a steal.

Been to Hody countless times over the years. All were pretty average. Some days I was there as a drinking customer; often times also ordering a meal as well. The last that comes to mind, a couple years back was a fun night out with a few friends enjoying the live music and beers and dancing. The place can be a great place for such fun. Here and now in the early Fall 2020 live music is a thing of the past. As are simply going to bars for myself and my wife. When the wife suggested ordering a couple burgers to go from Hody my first thought was the image of an extended wait, drinking a PBR, and eventually getting a couple overcooked and ugly burgers in a styrofoam box, drive home (4 minute) and seeing a couple sorry looking, lukewarm burgers, and soggy fries from hours earlier. But the actual wait was so brief I actually hadn't even taken but one drink off my beer before the burgers appeared. Check the photos, steamy and hot, and I first drove home before these photos. Hody Burger w,cheese and bacon and the typical tomato etc, the other was the Hody Club, a standard Club sandwich plus an overeasy runny yolk egg. I ate my burger and insisted on a bite of the Club, so I could assess both fully. Both were excellent. I can't very well embellish aside from stating that my burger was indeed a very well prepared burger. Bacon thick and crisp and just right amount of everything to make it taste great. Though I did add a personal flavor touch by adding a sprinkle of a special ground pepper to it, but the essential flavor was still all Hody. As for the Club, it was spot on as regards the eggs prep and the individual components having proper freshness and snap of the lettuce, tomato being firm and not overripe. Even the fries were fresh. Tonight was the finest example of any Hody experience ever. My reason for only 4 stars is simply that any of the previous would only ever have been a 2+ average (because most times the service was rather slow and food was only a mere average bar food experience.) with the earlier best being always a 3 tops. Tonight was 4. This place isn't super, in the immediate surrounding 500 meters, much better drinking and eating establishments can be found, and any or all of them I have previously commented and given the deserved fifth star.
