Yummy if not quirky pizza spot located in kind of a food mall-ish business building. Having lived in Chicago for ten years, I know a thing or two about good pizza. And how there is no 'one best pizza'. Do you like stuffed? Deep dish? Thin? Cracker? Detroit type? If you like wood fired sour dough pizza, this is the place for you. The dough is fresh and tasty. The topping selection is good and robust. The sauce is very good also. From our experience, The star of the show is the garlic bites. Probably the best I've ever had. This is not a place I'd plan to go eat at. There are less than 5 tables somewhat just placed in an open area that serves a few other businesses. Think mall setting. This is really a carry out type business. Quirky seating and location thing aside, if you like this kind of pizza, it's the best wood fired pie we've had in Milwaukee.

The pizza was so good I didn't even have a chance to grab a picture. Lovely crust and a great value. If you call and they don't pick up, try again in a few minutes -- their kitchen is downstairs.

I've gotten the 414 Pizza from Brute twice now and both times did not disappoint! I have ordered it finished/cut in store as well as parbaked, and you can't go wrong either way depending on what your plan for your meal is. The food is definitely quality, and I would recommend especially if you love a chewy crust! The online ordering process is super easy, and pick up went pretty quickly. I did have to wait a couple of minutes both times at the counter for someone to come down with my food, but it wasn't too bad. There are 3 or 4 small tables to sit at inside, but it's also next to a hallway area that leads to a bunch of offices/businesses so not exactly the ideal place to enjoy a meal.

Great slice and friendly people. Fast service and clean tables. Close to the stadiums and easy in and out. Lots of selection. Fountain or bottled beverages. They were cash only when we were there, but very friendly about it.

I thought Brute was just okay. I like the idea and unique taste of a sourdough pizza, just seemed like our pizza was rushed a bit (no characteristic char that this type of pizza usually has, and seemed slightly undercooked). I would try it again because I think we just got a dud and the ingredients seemed fresh. There isn't much for seating and the actual spot you order is just in the lobby of a building. They cook the pizzas down the stairs shown in the photo.

Great pizza. Loved the flavor and the preparation. Cooked to perfection with a friendly and fats service. We did a carry out and the pizza was hot and ready at the time given. A definite must tray if you are in the area.

Pizza is great and the garlic knots are good. The seating is a bit sparse but the food makes up for it.

One of the most expensive pizzas you will pay for on a cost: quantity ratio, but it is worth it! Sourdough is already filling on its own and these pizzas are top quality and unique. Their ceasar salad was also very good as well.

It's like in a hallway of a building. Food is made on another floor. Has a few small tables to sit at. A different atmosphere. Seemed to be more for carryout. The pizza was good. Give it a try.Parking: Was busy in Milwaukee

The pizza at brute feels unique, offering a specific vision catered towards small-menu, artisan-style pies. The wild yeast and slow fermentation of the crust lends additional nuance in a way that is pleasant and not overbearing in this application; not quite as sour as, say, a traditional sourdough loaf. There is a nice chew to the crust - it does lean more heavily on Neapolitan-like texture than other, crispier iterations, which may be disappointing for some. The toppings are considered with care and the PPPP is a great showcase of acidic, vegetal, and tangy peppers alongside savory pepperoni and a generous portion of cheese - so much that the crust is better off folded when eaten. The sauce is cooked and mildly seasoned, which tempers some of the bright acidity found in more traditional, uncooked sauces; again, likely delighting some and disappointing others. The cinnamon bites are an excellent dessert/appetizer. Although straightforward, the savory quality of the cinnamon-covered dough combined with the bright, vibrant orange dipping-sauce provide a wonderful balance of flavor.

We popped in to try Brute Sourdough on a whim. We got the P.P.P.P Pizza, as well as the cinnamon bites. The sourdough really makes a difference in crust flavor, the ingredients were fresh and delicious, the balance of it all was excellent. Would highly recommend. The cinnamon bites (made out of the sourdough, which gives them a little bit of a savory twist ) paired with the orange dipping icing were my favorite.Everything was delicious, the staff was delightful, and the tables for two were perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat. Definitely worth checking out!!

I like super close to Brute and had been dragging my feet to give it a try. Recently pulled the trigger and WOW what a great pie! I got the PPPP with onion (+$1) and a side of ranch (+$1). Excellent ranch (v v important)! I loved the peppadew peppers - really unique addition. Great price, easy online ordering, easy pick-up. If you've been to this building for any of the other food, you'll know there's not much seating - it's really best for pick-up only.
