Cielito lindo has always been a great place for delicious food and wonderful service. Today was, i guess, an off day. A friend and I went there for an early dinner. Normally my friend orders menudo. This time it was a combo taco, enchilada and tostada meal. I heard my friend clearly order "no sour cream", yet the tostada came with it anyway. (It typically comes with sour cream completely covered with cheese). The waitress, whom I've never seen before, argued that my friend had NOT said "no sour cream", referring to her screen she placed the order on. Therefore she was NOT willing to replace it. In addition, she had asked to refill my friend's drink, but never checked back later for my refill, which is unusual for this restaurant's servers. The food was still great! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant! Really disappointed with this visit!!Parking: Very small lot with only about a dozen spaces including three disabled spots

Literally SUCH a hidden gem and the food was genuinely outstanding! I got the combo 38 and definitely would recommend that so you can try so many different things. Blanca our server was phenomenal and SO on top of taking care of our massive party of over 20 in such a timely manner. Can’t wait for my next trip here!

Always a relatively quick wait, great service, and quality food.
this our go-to for mexican. you know it's authentic when the staff speaks limited english and tons of local hispanics go here.Admittedly, we order the bistec a la mexicana every single time. it's fabulous. so the 5 stars might be a bit generous, but guests we've brought loved it too. this restaurant is in the heart of milwaukee's '5th ward,' so there are tons of mexican restaurants in the area, but this one is totally authentic and great. service usually very good, but sometimes a bit slow. free chips and salsa (ask for the hot if you like heat). dated decor but atypical mexican restaurant decor. absolute must.
