The brisket is awesome and the sides are on point. So happy I tried this place! Definitely will be going back.

This place has some of the best smoked brisket and pork belly WOWZA!! I don't like the Milw Rib but that's just me. The grits and beans are iconic but the greens are odd...why are they sweet?? Overall great place for BBQ

We've been here a few times. Always good BBQ. Sadly the last time we went they didn't have sweat tea which is something my girlfriend looks for as she is from the south. Hope they bring that back. They did start selling Sprecher soda so that was a plus. First couple times we went there all they had was their home made soda, and none were flavors I cared for. Water just doesn't taste right with BBQ. The south side drip sauce was excellent.

Outstanding meats! Yes there is fat in the MKE ribs and burnt ends… it’s pork belly and it’s delicious!! I happily drive the 42 miles to get it!! Service and staff are great. Don’t forget the cocktails, the Bourbon Sour is my favorite. Everything at the Iron Grate is constantly great!!

Grits!! Yummy. I absolutely loved the grits.We stopped in Sunday and asked for a recommendation when ordering. We ordered the 2 meat.. brisket and pork belly.Everything was amazing! The outside seating is also very nice.

After one bite I texted my friends who live in the area saying, “We must come here!” I got the starter, the brisket and curds and a a corn bread muffin????. There is inside and outside seating. Both have a great atmosphere and seating options. There is a nice sized parking lot as well as easy access street parking. The staff and costumers are super friendly. It feels like a family vibe. Enjoy eating here alone or with friends.

Had a bbq pork sandwich with bbbeans and the little jug of sweet sun tea was cool.It was delisssh. Sat outside on a beautiful July day. Smell of the smokers and watching them load and unload their smokers. Iron Grate was just opening so the wait was not long. 20 min tops. The pork was not overly Smokey. Sum places you eat theirs and the smoke burns your mouth(like jerkydoes). The price was alittle high but the Iron Grate is the only true bbq joint on this side of town. Ya the other one is good but not the true taste. I say bring your cowboy hat and your little philly and drink(they got booze to)and eat to your hearts content. Ask them where their bumper stickers are?? Lol.
We always have a wonderful meal at Iron grate. Highly recommend. Staff is super friendly.

This is a review of their Friday special, the blackened catfish sandwich. It is amazingly good. Too often blackened food can be dry or salty. Not this catfish. It's really perfect, moist and tasty. A great, great sandwich.

6/30/22Tried this outfit for the second time. We are very happy with the Brisket and Pulled Pork it was great. We were completely unimpressed the first time when they first moved there. I would give it five stars but the sides are lacking. We intend to just buy meat next time, do our own sides.The BBQ Sauce, was definitely Carolina style, with a high vinegar content. I like the bourbon added. Unfortunately I do not like Carolina Style, added my own Sweet and Smokey and it was perfect. I think some sauce options would amp up there game.Mac-n-cheese, with smoked tomatoes needs the flavors amped up. It's OK but so is a boxed package.The baked beans were OK, but the sauce flavoring again was not to my liking.Corn Bread - Excellent, butter could use more honey.Advise you are getting hard rolls with an order on online menu can you buy more?Looking forward to trying other meats, and sides; will uodate this when I do.

OUTSTANDING BBQ!! Large portions, too! My wife and I bought the entree with 2 meats and 3 sides. We both ate more than we needed and then carried out enough leftovers for each of us to have another meal. The bark on the brisket is amazing! We'll be back for more!
