Such a weird experience. Came here for the derby day event, which was supposed to be at 1 pm. But it wasn't ready.. we were told to go outside and the bar will be ready soon. Went to the bar and he said it'll be a while. Okay...? We were hungry and went in and sat at the bar. Sat there for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment from the bartender who was literally right in front of us making drinks. I kindly said "excuse me, can we have menus please?" He said "give me a second" in a rude tone and didn't give us any menus! So we left and went down the street to central waters brewery and were acknowledged and served. What a concept. Wowza!

So I've been to On Tap multiple times and every time the service, food, and environment is just amazing all the staff is super friendly and attentive, the managers Cass, Jessica and Paul are very helpful and friendly. You must stop there and check it out, you won't be disappointed.

No frills burger and beer joint in the Beer district right next to the Pabst Brewery. Service was great, beer was tasty.

I know this restaurant/bar well, I tried everything they serve there, as I live nearby and worked there for 1 year, but unfortunately I didn't like almost anything. Everything is very fatty, everything is fried and has no flavor whatsoever, no seasoning. The only thing I liked a little is the pretzel.Beers are very often out of stock, and sometimes there is almost nothing on Tap, even though that is the name of the restaurant. That's why it's almost always empty. If you are looking to eat with flavor, quality and comfort food, look for another option in Milwaukee.

Not a good service . Appetizer was cold when waitress take it to the table. We ask for sauce and she took it to the table when we finished. Never got a silver set on the table.

Ugh. This is one of my toughest reviews to write ever. The venue itself is quite nice, and wants to be great. But the service and the food don't live up to the venue. First - The Restaurant Manager - He was quite nice and accommodating - we got there a little before 11 but he was gracious and opened up the place a tad early for us and another couple. Kudos to him. The server did not have English as her native language - and while I get this from a cultural standpoint, it makes it hard when she doesn't understand the menu or the most basic of drinks (a Screwdriver) - I had to explain it was just Vodka and OJ. I have compassion for her, but they should not have had her on her own yet. That was a clear miss. Let's get to the food. I was excited to see a wrap that had "Oven-Dried Tomatoes" in it. I can't stand tomatoes that normally get too wet and slimy and ruin a wrap. So I order the Turkey Club Wrap with thoughts that I have finally found someone/someplace that understands this conundrum - but alas, I got a wrap with normal tomatoes. It was tasty and generous, but it was misleading. Our server missed the lesson on "server eyes" and it took a while to get her attention to get a to-go container and the check. The fries were tasty and the wrap was average. But it wasn't as advertised. Same soggy tomatoes I am used to. And while the manager was present and attentive - they weren't actually managing the server - and she was struggling with 4 tables. Truly a shame with such a beautiful venue.

Went for a fish fry. We ordered The Big Catch, our waiter brought out a fish sandwich which was wrong. 5 minutes later we flag down another waiter, they tell us sorry we'll fix it. 10 minutes later, the manager walks over to ask us how it's going, we get the it's a new menu talk. 20 minutes after that we FINALY get our correct meal. 35 minutes to correct our food when the original, wrong food, came out in 10 minutes. Mind you, the place was not busy yet. To top it off, weren't even given any compensation for waiting forever to replace their mistake, least they coulda did was buy us our drinks. Will certainly not be going back.

Went out for a friends birthday and our time at this bar turned salty the second we walked in! We have never been treated so badly, with such horrible service, and worst of all the manager, Cassandra, was just beyond rude! When we walked in last night she turned and told her table that she had to do payroll and 20 people just walked in. Wow! It also took me over 30 minutes to get a drink while others were served within 5 minutes of being there and there wasn’t many people even at the bar. By the time my friend and I got a drink, our whole table was done with their drinks. Cassandra was the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever seen and she seemed so annoyed from the second we walked in all the way until we left. We showed up at 9:40 and the place closed at midnight. What a very neat, nostalgic place, but was immediately ruined by her awful attitude, consistent rude comments that she kept dropping, and just a straight up RBF! I guess our money is not green here and wasn’t good enough. Will never ever go back! What a shame.

I went here a few weeks ago on my Milwaukee trip. I was staying at the Malt house so it was a convenient nearby place. The food was actually really good. Especially the pizza. The staff was friendlier than anywhere else I went. I’m personally not a huge fan of the atmosphere, theme of the place. The TVs are super up high at the bar, the lighting is dark at night. They have a huge Pabst sign but they didn’t have it on tap of all things. Overall it’s a chill place and the food is worth it.

This restaurant has earned a permanent spot on my list of favorite restaurants, not just for the delicious food, but for the outstanding service provided by Jane. If you're looking for a dining experience that goes beyond the plate, I highly recommend asking for Jane when you visit.
