Upper East Bar is the former site of the Eastsider (closed in 2017) on the corner of North and Oakland. I visited this spot to celebrate a friend's birthday while I was in town visiting. The drinks were reasonably priced, the music was consistently good (vibes were hip hop, pop, rnb), and the bartender's service was great. I heard that the owner allows people to rent the space out for events and parties. Great place for a pregame or couple drinks on a school night, haha.

totally missed out on what it could have been... before it was a bougie bar it use to be the hottest college bar back in the day. it could have been great had they decided to go with that concept not this serbian uppty bar they went with... Could have been eastsiders but they failed

Used to be a regular and went here all the time. I loved hanging out here. It recently changed and is not fun anymore and smells. They are never open, and when they are it’s for private events or they are closed at 1. Totally missing the mark on the key demographic for its location. Also, I simply do not feel safe coming here alone anymore.
