Our food was great, our waitress was awesome. She was friendly and heard it was my sister's bday, and brought her a brownie with whip cream. That was really nice. The only negative was when we walked in, we all noticed a gas smell. So maybe that needs to be addressed. Other than that we enjoyed our lunch very much.
Recommended by a friend to come try the BBQ ribs at Chances. However, we ended up with the pan seared scallops and beer battered walleye. Since it was Friday, we asked what is the difference between the beer battered walleye under the Friday Fish Fry Special and the beer battered walleye under the seafood section of the menu. We were told that the beer battered is made by the restaurant if you order from the seafood section. The Fish Fry Special walleye came already battered....read full review

We dined at Chances on a Saturday night in March 2024. . Lots of local townspeople having a good time in bar area. I am all for that type of atmosphere. However, if your face is not familiar, the bartenders tend to ignore you. There were two mature guys on duty behind the bar and if you did not specifically call out or gesture for a cocktail, they simply stood there. Grumpy as all get out.
