“Couldn't wait to try this place after hearing about it. Our expectations were exceeded! Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. We arrived before the dinner rush on a Saturday night, so we were in an out fairly quickly. Looking forward to visiting again.“

“Excellent food! We started with a mix of regular and spicy fried cheese curds. I had the French Dip with a side of onion rings. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. After dinner we went to the back where they had pool, darts, and board games. Five-stars, would come back again!“

“We love The Riv! Always good food and a fun atmosphere. We recently visited on a busy Friday night. We spent 10 minutes at the host stand without being greeted and walked past by servers. Multiple people sat before us that arrived after us. Very frustrating. We eventually gave up and found 2 spots at the bar. The staff was clearly stressed out and took it out on guests. Felt like a nuisance being there. Normally I've had very good experiences here. Not sure what the problem was this time but probably won't be back for a while.“

“I give this establishment a 5 star review, for all the reasons one should give a 5 star review to a small town, homey, pleasant restaurant with wholesome beginnings such as Culver's. Even though it is a fast food restaurant, this place makes one feel at home, and the people in it make one feel confident and in control, as they are never to be found weary of serving their customers. After all these years, the Culver's staff have managed to maintain the small town supper club atmosphere akin to that which my mother recalls fondly when she grew up attending the Blue Spoon and the original Culver's supler club growing up in the city itself.The food is impeccable, every time. I've had many a bad experience with fast food, and every time I recount them, not one is found with Culver's. The quality of their ingredients is nothing short of fantastic, and always leaves me hungry for more. With every bite of a Double-Bacon Deluxe, a symphony of crisp, vibrant flavor overwhelms the taste buds, and paints a picture on the palate that would leave Michelangelo and Monet breathless. The flavor of every dish is smooth and consistent through the end, and is a true joy to witness. The only point which could tempt me to dare remove a star is that ketchup should be a standard ingredient on the deluxe, however this can (and should) be added at no extraneous fee.Perhaps the thing responsible for such an impressive menu are the time-tested, tried and true methods used to make each dish. I have spoken with a number of employees of the establishment and was informed at one point that the food is truly made fresh. The advertisements do not lie. The freshness of the ingredients makes for a forgiving preparation process which always results in perfection, proving true the famous phrase, that anyone can cook. And indeed, when it comes to this establishment, everyone should, so that the joy of its flavors can be shared among the ranks of many.I leave this review most wonderfully pleased with my entire experience at the Original Sauk City Culver's, and intend to come back soon, hungry for more.“

“Can get busy so make reservations. But we'll woth the wait. Great food and service.Vegetarian options: You can create a meal without meat.Parking: The lot is small. We were lucky and pulled in while another pulled out. I do believe there is parking off to the back,side .Kid-friendliness: Crowded but do able for the whole family.“

“6 of us,, 3 Ordered the chicken Alfredo it's the Thursday special however its not on the in house menu, it was good,2 Ordered Philly cheese steak sandwich,was very dry, menu said served with aujus however the menu isn't updated so no aujus.1 Ordered a burger it was OK, it took one hour to get our order.This is another one of those are you a bar or a restaurant? I would like to try other food options but need an updated menu, maybe they could just make prints off the one on the internet for in house?? Maybe precook some items so it doesn't take as long to get the food out. Pricey.Same music and TV scene over and over and over. Might be back???“

“Great local place to stop for a bite to eat. Great food, excellent service. Well worth a stop if you want good tavern food and you're passing through. Wife and I had the turkey wrap, excellent smoked flavor, great option on a hot day. My boys had cheeseburgers and loved them. Everything was top notch.“

“We were given our total and then when we received our check the total charged didn't match the total stated and she walked away before we could ask why were were rounded up. Afterwards we said we'd go again because the food was so good but we'd watch our bill more closely. It's one thing to earn a tip and be left it but to round up after saying a total doesn't make sense“

“Love this place. It's totally unassuming. You'd think it was just a dive bar on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere...but it's much more. Fantastic food and great supper club atmosphere. Really, really nice patio. A must visit!!“

“We were there for a ski weekend. Stones throw from our Ab&b. First night had a great time at the friendly small town local bar. The second night sampled the food and experienced a great time closing down the bar with the awesome staff and locals. It's definitely a place to revisit.“
