“We can’t recommend Sideways enough! Donna, Steve and their staff were exceptional in planning & hosting our son & his fiancés gathering of family & friends the night before their wedding. Donna & Steve were so accommodating with the use of the space. They offered the upstairs and their outdoor space to host the large group of family and friends. The atmosphere inside was charming & welcoming. The drinks and all of the food were amazing! Many family & friends commented on how awesome everything was. All of the staff were top notch -very professional and welcoming. It was perfect!”

“We were on vacation in northern Wisconsin and since we like enjoy dining at supper clubs we found Silver Birch. Everything was great, the friendly service, the drinks, the lake view and the delicious cheesy broccoli Alfredo soup, honey glazed carrots and steaks!”

“While we’ve been to Billy Bob’s many times (and loved their food — especially their burgers and FRIES are phenomenal!!) we were particularly blown away by one server’s exceptional service last night … her name is Cat 👏👏👏 Not only was she beyond accommodating, letting us change from an outside table to inside as it was cooling off, but we noted EACH TIME she checked on us — our food, etc. — it was HER thanking US. 😳 I was particularly proud — though not surprised — to find without my knowing prior, she is the daughter of a good friend of mine (Gregg), who owns a different local mainstay, Cockatiel’s Bar, also in Tomahawk. Be sure to check out both places, especially Harley Weekend, aka “Fall Ride,” and ask for them by name. GREAT customer service deserves to be shared!”

“We had dinner @Bessie’s on Clear Lake Friday night and it was outstanding!! First time to try carrot soup and it was great! The ribeye was cooked perfectly 🤩 the service was amazing and the fun bartender made a mean brandy Alexander! We will be back!”

“Great small town diner with good food, generous portions and reasonable prices. I had the ham and cheese omelette special- a 3 egg omelette, generous serving of hash browns and 2 big fluffy pancakes for $10. My son said the strawberry milkshake he had along with his breakfast was exceptional. We went on a weekday and it had a steady flow of customers, both locals and visitors. I'd definitely eat here again.”

“This is our first time coming here and it won't be our last. My wife and I both had a delicious fish fry. The fish was lightly breaded, flaky and delicious. I had The fettuccine as a side and it was smooth and creamy. My wife tried the German potato salad and you can tell along with the coleslaw it was made from scratch. Both of our drinks at the bar were top notch.. Bob is doing a wonderful Job, with this bar and grill”

“We recently stopped at this Dairy Queen while traveling through Tomahawk, WI. This establishment is so very well maintained. The food was delicious and hot!!! The employees were very friendly and thanked us for stopping in! Our DQ in our town is currently struggling with different issue's so it was refreshing to stop into another Dairy Queen that is run so well!”

“Great food and beautiful place. We will be back. A little disappointed with our server but we think she was overwhelmed with tables?? We waited a fair amount if time even to place our order. We did not hear specials, asked about appetizers and when done no dessert suggestions. She was pleasant enough but it could have been better.”
