“I stopped by for Friday night supper. Walking in, the bar area overlooked the lake. What a sight! There was also a custom wine rack on the side and the menu offered wine suggestions to complement each entree. I sat at a table. The interior is all wood and was decorated for spring. They had three tempting fish fry specials, but I opted for sauteed shrimp and a baked potato. I ordered an amaretto sour while I waited. The staff was attentive without hovering. My drink came promp. The entree came with a fresh side salad and a breadstick. The salad was lettuce greens layered with vegetables. The sautéed shrimp was 5 very large, perfectly cooked and delicious shrimp. The baked potato was medium-sized, fluffy and light. I finished my meal with the birch brownie (brownie with vanilla ice cream). The brownie was warm and chewy contrasting with frosty ice cream. Bottom line--it's well worth the visit.“

Walleye

“Met there with grandkids on a wintry night. Lovely little spot deep in the woods with good food and attentive service. This is north woods friendly. My poor man's was basic but very good, and our table enjoyed the Friday night walleye, ribs, and pasta. Good manhattans. Beer list is basic but I enjoyed a Spotted Cow. Certainly visit again.“

“Located in downtown Tomahawk. I came in for an early supper. The bar was already nearly full and the dining area about half full. The staff was prompt and attentive. I was seated in a secluded little corner table where I appreciated the Northwoods decor including saws and old photos. My prime rib came with salad bar and a roll. The selections on the salad bar were plentiful and nicely presented with about eight options for dressing. There was also barbecued meatballs. The 10 Oz prime rib was generously cut and served in aus jus. The side of steamed broccoli was served in a bowl and cut in bite size pieces. Overall, a nice meal.“

“They deserve 4 stars. That said. When they serve bad food, and with price's they wah they are. Should be noted. I ordered the brisket burger. Tasted like it was microwaved. I had burger King for lunch. That was better. And about the same price. All the other times. The food is really good and worth the price. One bad experience isn't gonna stop me. But if it persists. Idc. I'll take my money elsewhere“
