When coming to pick up orders. The guy who was standing in the kitchen was rude. I asked if I could take the order. He stated, (RUDELY) You have to wait for the manager to check them. He didn't even let her know I was stading there. Oh, I am still waiting.

Great neighborhood Taphouse & Eatery. The night we were here they were understaffed. It was just the owner running the place. He had a couple people call in. Extremely impressed how he conducted himself and made sure nobody waited around for a drink or food. The burgers are great and the tap list is even better. Also for a beer connoisseur like myself he assured me he cleans the tap lines every two weeks. Which was evident in the quality of the pour.

The management is not following the Dane Co Public Health Ordinance currently in place. I entered with my face covering and witnessed the server and manager working without a face covering. I told him that unless he put on a mask I would report them to Dane County Public Health. The server left our table and returned with a face mask to take our order. I thanked him and we placed our beer order still wearing our face masks. Within a few minutes, the manager arrived at our table without a face mask. (Want to bet he did not like his business being called out?) He stated "I give my employees the choice." I told him that is not allowed in the current health mandate. While he did not ask me to leave, his defiance of approaching us without wearing a face mask was his way to say "if you don't like it you can leave." So, we did!! And, I just now reported his business to the Dane Co Public Health Department. This is a clear violation of the current Dane County Public Health ordinance in place until the beginning of October, 2021. I hope they are investigated and fined! Prior to this experience, I had always liked the atmosphere and beverages/ food. Any business that does not follow the Dane County emergency public health orders will no longer get my money.

We came for lunch on a day where they had one young man running the whole show!! We didn’t ask why and he didn’t complain at all because he had it down to a science! We couldn’t decide what he did best because he was a great waiter, chef, & bartender! Kudos to this guy and he could teach a few folks about how to give 110%

There was a one man show over a busy lunch hour and he rocked it! We weren’t in a hurry and saw he was solo but you certainly wouldn’t have known it as his food and service were second to none! Way to go~

A little pricey for the small portions they give. But a comfortable local pub. Be sure to reiterate special instructions for food orders. I was bummed they messed up my burger. But entered the to go ticket as I had ordered.

Have not eaten here in a while, heard there was new ownership so we went back. The Firehouse burger we had was amazing! Whole family had the same burger and everyone agreed (we love spice!). The burger size/ quality was noticeably different, great changes Mr. Brew's Verona!!! We have been back 2 days later and will be back again soon.
We stopped here after the Dane County fair. It was awesome! Our server Angela was AMAING! Super sweet, funny amd could sling a great drink! Highly recommend this place and ask for Angela if she is working!

Stopped in for a Friday fish dinner. Shoulda had the fish tacos. The fillets were batter deep fried and unfortunately, at least to me, tasted like th hey were fried in the same oil as the French fries, chicken fingers, and onion rings. You do get a very fresh and light dinner roll, as well as pretty good coleslaw. Next time I'll skip the fillet and go for the tacos or a burger. Their burgers I can recommend.
