“GET THE BURNT ENDS, the brisket, the fried pickles, the blackened blues sandwich, and the Boise salmon! YUM. We went as a family and all tried each others food. It was the best meal I have had in Wisconsin since moving here almost a year ago. If you can’t decide on anything… START WITH THE BURNT ENDS I WOULDN'T STEAR YOU WRONG! ❤️“
“Our absolute favorite place in Dane County! Hosted my fella's 50th birthday party in the outdoor area in May - was absolutely seamless and beyond fun! The ambience, updates, menu, drink selection, specialty pizza nights....all off the charts awesome! Chuck, Kate and the RT crew are attentive, friendly, fun, speedy, welcoming, accommodating......I could go on and on. 11 out of 10 highly recommend!“
“I really love this beer. I have been going to Florida St. Pete’s area & having there name brand beer, I found this to be very similar tasting, Not exactly but I feel like a little vacation when have this beer…And it’s in my backyard, Yum Very refreshing!“
“This place is a true gem! Living in the southwest for a large percentage of my life, I have had a lot of Mexican food. However, since moving to the Midwest finding excellent Mexican food can be difficult. That is not the case here. This place is by far the best Mexican food I have had in Madison. They even have cactus nopales on the menu, which are cooked to perfection. My husband and stopped by for lunch to try this place as we have passed by it multiple times, but never stopped in. My husband had the carne asada plate and I had the enchiladas pollo con mole. These were mouthwatering delicious.“
“The best sushi I have ever had! Exceptional food quality that was fresh and incredibly flavorful. Tremendous value for the "all you can eat" sushi. Our server, Lu, was gracious, pleasant, professional, and provided wonderful service. A must when visiting Madison!Vegetarian options: 4-6 vegetarian roll options. We had the sweet potato roll. Fantastic!!Parking: Parking In front of the door as well as the lot.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor entrance with no steps“
“What an incredible experience! Everything from the drinks, food, service and atmosphere was amazing. We cannot wait to come back again. Gabe was an incredible server - personable, knowledgeable, funny, and had the best timing (he just knew when we needed another cocktail). I cannot recommend this place enough!“
“This place has wonderful food and great drinks. Service was reasonably prompt and pleasant, food was delicious, drinks equally great. My only downside is expectations. When your times state 10:30 close, I expect 10:30 close. Instead, at 9:50 our table was told “We’re closing, but no rush, are you ready for the check?” This indeed insinuates that we should head out now. 40 min earlier than the advertised close. While finishing our drinks, all table’s chairs were being placed on the tables, a clear indication of closing. All tables chairs were on the tables except ours by 10pm. I totally understand a slow night, but as a manger, one should set expectations for customers regardless of current customer level. Instead they should set time for 10pm if this indeed is their existing typical closing time. Set a time, and stick to it. Again, food was delicious, from burger to cheese curds, it was all great. Please reevaluate your timings to align with your expectations. Nonetheless, thank you for the evening.“
“Fantastic menu, lots of natural lighting, but the best part is they genuinely have safe options to those who can not have gluten. They even have a GF dedicated fryer. While I enjoyed the Tika Masala flatbread, my husband enjoyed the GF crispy (truly crispy) chicken sandwich with fries, thanks to the GF fryer. About that fantastic menu—I could close my eyes and pick an entree and be very satisfied with anything set in front of me.“
“loved the sweet potato frites cone (and kombucha) - our server had great saucy recos. went w some family to show what uw and the area is like to our own potential admit. we appreciate the new experience of sitting in that globe. our server was SO COOL N NICE n had great banter :)“
“WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! In town visiting family over the 4th of July weekend. Needed to kill some time and looked for a cider place - viola! This place is off the beaten path, however, there was a steady flow of people on Saturday afternoon. We tried a couple of flights and they were all pretty great. Table favorite was the French Toast and Pina Colada.“
“Not a dive bar. Feels like a family restaurant that also has a bar. Excellent vibes. Good burger, chef forgot my grilled onions, but was great. Pretty decent sized, all served with a bunch of pickles. Hidden valley ranch was served with curds.“
“This is one of our favorite places in the summer, as their outdoor beer garden is spectacular under the trees, along the river, dog friendly, and typically with live music. We even bike there sometimes. We were in the area this winter and stopped by and enjoyed our indoor visit as well! They have a few tables and simple games and the historical building is fun to explore as there are multiple seating areas depending on what type of vibe you are looking for. The building itself connects indoors to a cute shop as well and there are plenty of nearby areas to grab and bring in food. They are dog friendly and have water bowls as well as treats for your furry friends, and I've always had friendly bartenders who are willing to let you try beer samples to ensure you get something you like. The hops are grown locally and the beer is made in small batches so it rotates between visits. They added some cute merchandise items as well including free small stickers, if they aren't out just ask!“
“Love it here! Everybody is very attentive and kind. It’s also just a great location with a lovely atmosphere and delicious coffee. I’ve been going here for years and it never gets old!Vegetarian options: There aren’t tons of veggie options but I’ve personally never had an issue here.“
“Long time customers of this place due to their delicious pie. But… the menu hasn’t changed in years so you need to be OK with picking a favorite and making it your usual. The restaurant was surprisingly uncrowded for midday Sunday but the service was somewhat slow anyway.“
“Great restaurant with good food and a great place to watch a sport event and hang with friends. However the music has got to go. The playlist was so annoying I had to leave. Others were annoyed. Please change up the music. I want you to survive. Madison needs more restaurants like yours but not your music selection. Thank you!“
“What a cute little winery! Love this addition to the Whitney Way neighborhood. I went with one of my friends we both got a wine flight (I got white she go red). Both of us liked the wines and were able to find one that we wanted to order a glass of. We also got some food, perfect for pairing with our wine. This place is in a very convenient location in Madison, if you like wine give it a try!“
“I ordered the Mahi Fish Tacos. Each order includes three tacos featuring citrus-marinated Mahi Mahi, chipotle aioli, salsa verde, and crisp nappa cabbage, all nestled in soft corn tortillas and served with a side of fries. The tacos were simply divine, bursting with freshness and flavor. The Mahi Mahi was exceptionally fresh and delicious. While The Boathouse was charming on the day of my visit, it undoubtedly shines even brighter in the summer, with its picturesque views of the lake.“
“Great fast lunch for Italian sub. Their Italian is much better than Jimmy John's. Reasonable prices also. The assortment of Italian meats and flavorful dressing, fresh bread and tasty provolone hit the spot. I have yet to try another sandwich style but the Italian is delicious.“
“I’ve loved all the coffee i’ve gotten here. Great vibes with their commitment to sustainability in a variety of aspects in their business - from repurposed furniture, to reusable dishware, and even compost. Love to see a business in touch with the community and the planetDietary restrictions: Lots of alt milk options“
