I was visiting a friend from out of town and this place is blocks from her house and since she had had good breakfast there in the past we went and tried for lunch. The fried cauliflower was excellent and the mushroom Swiss burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Knocked off one star because after asking for a set of utensils because our table was short one and extra napkins we ended up just stealing some utensils from an empty table and then repeating our request for extra napkins before getting them but the staff was still friendly and immediately brought the napkins after that.

If you're a Wausau local you know that this location has seen a few different names and owners over the years. Wausau Family Restaurant, Green Forest, Jenny's etc...As someone who has eaten at each interation of this establishment I am happy to say that A&A seems to have the most robust and well thought out menu - they have it all together. Each option is made well and with care. The staff is always kind and welcoming which adds to our enjoyment. Most recently we had country fried steak, wings, curds, burgers etc and everything was awesome. The wings were a little cold but they threw them back in the fryer for a few mins with out any issues - no one's fault.Give A&A a try - you'll be back.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for accessibility needs.

I've been to this place once for takeout and twice for dine-in now. The service is always stellar. The food is not 'fancy' but it is homemade, fresh, and hot. I would recommend them for either breakfast or lunch, both are great. Prices are very reasonable and it was a breath of fresh air to be able to go for lunch with my spouse and not walk out feeling upset about what we spent. I really hope this place lasts in this location, it's a great addition to the area!

Quiet when we went. So service was fast. Food was good. Burger was well-cooked and nice presentation. Over-easy eggs were perfect (cooked whites and runny yolks). Corned-beef hash was ok. Baklava was tasty. Overall, pleasant dining experience. Would dine here again.

I was meeting very dear friends in Wausau for lunch during my 3 week visit to Wisconsin. This Hoosier's task was to choose the gathering place. I chose A&A Restaurant because of the very favorable reviews. I am so happy I did. What a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. I ordered chicken fried steak with hash browns and overhard eggs. Every bit was cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns were crispy, the eggs were exactly what I ordered, and the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy... melt on your mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. I loved the decor of the restaurant too, clean, cozy, and a creative splash of seasonal winter/ Valentines.Yes, I will definitely return.Parking: Handicap parking is close to the door. Thank you for that.

Get the smash burger, a little under seasoned but I think it rivals BnR's burger in quality and taste. Good service.

First time checking out this place and was pretty good! Was there at 12:30pm and dining was about half full. There were 2 of us and we were seated promptly. Waitress was friendly, able to answer our questions on items and checked on us several times during our meal. We ordered the fried Cheese Curds appetizer which came with a Tzatziki sauce that I had never tried. It was kind of plain and I personally would prefer ranch. The cauliflower also had a bit more breading on it than I prefer and hid the cauliflower taste.( only reason I didn't give the food a 5 star.) I had the Roast Beef Melt which was very good along with a good sized portion side of Coleslaw that was creamy and slightly tangy (very good as well).

I’ve eaten here twice, both times were pretty good. First time I had an omelette. Recently I tried the salmon benedict. Affordable prices.

Very responsive staff, had special requests and they followed them to a T. Very friendly staff, have a 14 month kid, and they provided a high chair. He loves the toast! I personally had the One and Only Burger with side of cottage cheese and would highly recommend. Burger has great taste, and served the pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes on the side. Country fried stake, that was ordered has great amount of moisture and flavor!Parking: Multiple spots around the building.Kid-friendliness: High chair provided, very friendly to our 14 month old son. Enjoyed the led lights and flow wall features.

My family and I have had the pleasure of visiting A & A Restaurant in Wausau, WI, twice, and both experiences left us eagerly anticipating our next visit. Our first adventure to this delightful spot was a dine-in experience, just my husband and me. It was a cozy and intimate outing that gave us a wonderful introduction to what A & A has to offer. The highlight of that first visit, apart from the warm and inviting atmosphere, was the Baklava. My husband and I still reminisce about it. It was truly exceptional – the kind of dessert that stays in your memory long after the last bite. Our most recent visit to A & A was a bit different but equally enjoyable. This time, it was a takeout order for myself, my adult son, and my granddaughter. Even as a takeout meal, the food maintained its high quality and delightful flavors. It's not often you find a restaurant that can provide an equally wonderful experience both in-house and as a takeaway. Each dish we've tried, from the One and Only Burger my son loved, the Hangover burger my husband raved about to the pot roast I've ordered and loved twice, to the kids' chicken tenders that left my granddaughter wanting more, has been a testament to the culinary prowess of A & A Restaurant. They've managed to create a menu that appeals to all ages and tastes, making it a go-to for family meals, whether we choose to enjoy it in their welcoming establishment or in the comfort of our home.
