“Really fun restaurant/bar. We got to the restaurant in the middle of the afternoon and it was absolutely packed. I usually would have walked away honestly... but my friends really wanted to eat here, so I reluctantly agreed to stay. We were seated in 10 minutes! I was shocked at how fast it was. I would have guessed it would have taken an hour. Anyway, they took our order right away and the food was fast and excellent. I had a salad with blackened fish. EXCELLENT! I recommend it for sure. Not sure when it's less busy, if ever... but worth a wait if you have to.“

“Heaven was easily the GREATEST bartender I think I’ve EVER came across in my time of drinking and going to different bars around the country. I can’t believe how nice she is and how fast she moves around the bar. Most bartenders ignore people for a bit of time before getting to them but she not only got to me and everybody else faster than I’ve seen in the longest time but she also was able to hold conversation and able to do her job at the same time. If she’s here I WILL be back.“
“Came upon this little gem when looking for a place to have some drinks before a show and so glad we did! This place is so cute, it’s small but it’s very nice inside and has that nice feel of comfort. When we got there it was slow but it quickly got busy and the bartender, Christina, was the only one there besides the cooks and she ROCKED it. She remained collective and calm during the rush that came out of nowhere. The food is also amazing, while we only had a couple of apps, the burgers looked insanely delicious and we are definitely going back to try them.“

“It's a bar. They serve "bar food" but oh boy, it's good bar food. A bit greasy and salty and yummy. Couldn't eat there every day but I can honestly say that my bratwurst was so overloaded with delicious toppings that it may have been the first brat I was tempted to eat with a knife and fork. “Pete’s is a great little pub, especially in contrast to most of the other options on Brady St. It’s definitely a sports bar (and a great place to catch early morning football matches or F1 races!), but without all the neon and cheesiness, and with unexpectedly great drink options. The food menu is full of great versions of popular pup foods, and the staff is always really friendly and good at what they do. You do have to order everything at the bar (vs. servers and table service) which can be a little cumbersome and hectic when the pub gets busy, but it’s not really something that takes away from the experience as a whole. Overall, highly recommend this place!“

“Stumbled upon this place while in Milwaukee for work. It is located not far from my airport hotel. Great neighborhood bar with a lot of locals. Talked to several, and they were all very friendly. The bartender, Erin, was very friendly, fast service, and liked to smile and joke around a little. Drinks were good, and the prices were too. I ordered a pizza around 9pm. Came out in a reasonable amount of time and was better than expected. Will definitely stop back in next time I'm in town.Vegetarian options: A few options for vegetarians. Pizza or salad.Parking: Small parking lot, but there is also street parking.“

“Fourth-N-Long has great pizza and wings. I’ve been here a few times with family and I’m never disappointed. This past weekend we put or brother to rest and had the after gathering here. The staff and service were excellent. We had the bottom floor to ourselves and it gave us a cozy atmosphere to reminisce. The bar was right upstairs if anyone needed a stronger spirit than what our hostess and host provided. Everyone had a great time and a few lingered afterwards. I recommend stopping to find true comfort food too.“

“I always see this spot posted all over Reddit so I thought it was time to check it out. It's a nice walk from the Third Ward and also right on the Green Line. Parking can get tight but there is a paid lot nearby. The place was pretty busy which caused slower service, but staff remained attentive. The bar and dining room both had plenty of seating. This would be a great spot for large groups! I ordered a glass of wine and the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich with a side caeser. I was disappointed in the wine list, especially for an Italian restaurant. The glass of wine I ordered was pretty stale which makes me think they might not sell a lot of wine. Again, odd for an Italian restaurant. The sandwich was excellent. It had perfectly crisp eggplant with a flavorful marinara and plenty of cheese. I like that they serve giardinera to add some extra crunch and spice to the sandwich. I would love to return for the pizza that I read so much about! The food was amazing!“
“Love these little old school pubs just sitting there at a 4way stop. Been here since tge 60's. Bartender was spot on, friendly and quick service. One of the locals told me tgat the Prime Rib can't be beat (served on Mondays) and if you order steal tacos on Thursday, they use the left over Prime Rib. Hard to beat that. Very friendly regulars, and even bought me a shot. I will be back to try the food and will update my review.Parking: Small lot with a lot of cars. But you can be creative to make a spot.“

“I have driven past this place for a couple years now and I have never seen an open sign light up but today it was shining bright so I stopped for an adult beverage. Brian was bartending on my visit and it was all regulars but they didn't make me feel like an outsider. I ordered my Gin Rickey and no one in the bar had ever heard of it, no drink for Brian today but any bartender who can make one gets a drink on me. The place is your typical WI dive bar with a theme of bobble heads because the owner collects them. The staff was very friendly and the Gin Rickey was very refreshing. The place has a small bar with one giant flat screen and smaller flat screens around the room.“
“For many years Von Trier has been the quintessential German bar in Milwaukee's east side. I used to live so close to it and now that I'm no longer in Wisconsin I miss it. Von Trier is, I should say, more German than many of the German bars I've visited while traveling in Germany. Tradition is important, and you can see that from wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling, you can see that in the decoration and the style. Von Trier has an impressive and large selection of beer, and I think for any fan of German beer, or just good beer in general, you'll definitely find something to stimulate your palate and placate your thirst. I visit Wisconsin once a year and I always come back here. Good memories and good beer. As it should be.“
“The wings were amazing! A semi-spicy dry rub that is completely worth the wait (and there will be a wait, especially on the Wednesday night wing special). Fairly priced beer with an awesome bartender. The only downfall for me was the music was a little loud, and one of the speakers in the back room is blown out so doesn't sound good on certain songs.“

Food and drinks are both a bargain here, with a huge array of cocktails offered at $8, and steak about 30% cheaper than on average. “Food was delicious but a little bit too greasy for us. The tartar sauce was different. I would suggest maybe putting a tiny bit of macintosh apple in there. The coleslaw was not sweet what I'm used to. It was very sour so I don't know if it's supposed to taste like that or if it was old. My son wanted to try the chicken tenders but they don't serve them on the same days as fish fries. My son ended up getting the last burger. They were all out after that. Not sure if this happens often but I felt bad for the people that came in after us that left because they were there for burgers. Service was a little slow. The atmosphere was a little too dark for us. Overall I give this a four star.“
“Mitchell's is one of the last "classic " taverns around today like the tomato patch or Remo's. Brent,the owner, is and has been one of the most solid guy there is,his passion and presence in his his bar shows highly in his atmosphere of Mitchell's. Occasionally there is a car show here and I know that a lot of past and present patrons love when he has a show but due to COVID,it's never been the same as it used to be but I truly recommend Mitchell's for anyone that likes the relaxed setting and perfect for a beverage and the almighty "wind down "of the day.“
“Fun and lively place to have a beer and watch soccer! Classic German beers are available as well as some rotating American/local ones. The food is also excellent. I’ve had their pretzel, corned beef with French fries, and sausage platter. All are delicious. They have live polka music on Friday evenings along with free drinks from a keg of beer they tap at 6pm (first come, first serve until the keg runs out). It’s street parking, which can be a pain depending on the time of day and what else is going on in the Deer District but I’ve always been able to find something.“

“My husband is a huge soccer fan so we decided to do the rehearsal dinner for our wedding this summer at the Red Lion out on the back patio. It was the most perfect venue and meal! Our friends and family raved about the food and planning everything (including drink tickets, menu, and dealing with a year long postponement during a pandemic) was easy with their event coordinator. We were able to play games on the deck and mingle and had plenty of room when a few extra unexpected guests arrived. Would recommend for any event!“

I mean like a camp deep in the woods. Many taxidermy animals throughout. Pop music plays at a volume that is actually good for conversation. A couple of large screens show the game of the day. The service is fast - I observed. There is a non alcoholic menu with favs like Old fashioned and Moscow Mule. Now If I am gonna go to a place that doesn't have any prices on the menu, then I am going for leisure and to have fun with friends. It looks like a good spot to bring folks who like a quirkly bar experience and where folks can kick back and socialize. I am looking forward to coming back when the outside is open!“
