“This quaint cafe has incredible food, a stylish atmosphere, and excellent service. We stopped in for breakfast on a recent visit to Berkeley Springs and were really blown away by how good the food was. Everything is made from scratch, even the donuts - which came in several mouth-watering varieties including Chocolate Guinness (in honor of St. Patrick's Day!) The menu features lots of healthy options and plenty of choices for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The breakfast veggie bowl was one of the next breakfast dishes I've ever ordered! Kids and grownups were all happy! We will be back for sure!“

Cacapon Mountain Brewing Co Brewery • $$

“Dear Mr. Anonymous, who "escorted" me out the door last night after demanding that I move my truck. I am 77, have two bad legs and knees (5 operations with metal inserts), had never been there before, and saw a car parked next to the building. I parked there, too. There were NO signs indicating the space as a no parking area. Put up a sign so old guys like me will know. I had to drive out to 522 to access Mercer Street, which you have now cut off as "private property". How can that be, when it was an open, two-way street I used for years before you fenced it off? I don't have a cell phone or facebook or any of that other crap that "everyone else" has that magically puts someone in the know: "You're the only one". You may have the best burgers in town - as I have been told - but I'll never know. I'll NEVER return, and hope we never cross paths again. Have a nice day.“

the Lazy Sundae Ice Cream Shop • $
174 N Washington St, Berkeley Springs

“Stopped in on our way through town and was surprisingly impressed. The decor is fresh, uplifting, and very kid friendly. They have a small candy store to one side and a place for little ones to play dress up. Definitely a cross between an old school ice cream shop vs Disney feel (maybe it was just the Disney music playing overhead). Either way, we very much enjoyed our food and dessert. Will be making this a regular stop when we pass through. ..... FYI, the food looks just like the pictures and tastes even better.“

“This is for the beer only. In another life I used to go through Berkeley Springs once a week for several years and I was always enamored with the town and those Roman baths there. I was going through there for work and the guy rode with would never stop. I bet if this had been there back then he would have stopped. So I was at a store and they had this beer and because of the name of it and the location of it and what was on the can I bought it. I don't think I've ever paid this much for a six pack of beer but it was at the top of a mountain and the beer was very very very very good. I usually drink the dark beers and I really like this one.“

“Came here several times throughout our weekend stay in town, got several coffees and meals. The drip coffee is good, cappuccinos okay, and lattes terrific. Breakfast is good, though my biscuit sandwich held together about two seconds before crumbling apart ‘n needing a fork. Both biscuit and croissant sandwiches would’ve benefited from the moisture of a a fried egg versus an ‘omelette’ egg, but I didn’t ask either, so that’s on me. Got the Tunisian tuna and Tom Foolery chicken sandwiches - not bad, but the chicken was underseasoned and tuna incredibly dry. I was excited they had vegetarian meat options, particularly for breakfast, hope they expand! Overall a super cute place with a great concept. I hope they stick around, Great menu, kind staff, fun space! Love the no tip stress. :)“

“A kitschy, quaint, down-to-earth establishment just off the interstate, the Western Maryland Rail Trail and the C&O Canal. The exterior is bright and friendly, inviting you in. Eats, drinks, and antiques (oh, and soft serve!?). Something for everyone. The menu is as unique as the charm. I had a fried bologna sandwich that was elevated(think caramelized onions and pineapple and a zippy sauce) beyond the classic favorite's dreams! Everyone at our table enjoyed what they ate. As the music played, the bike riders, the locals, the wanderers - like we were, all rub elbows in the open air seating(plentiful) and inside there were several little nooks of seating as well. Social distancing and masks apply. Seemingly dog friendly. I'll be going back, without a doubt. ✌“
