“Every single employee was just so nice and quick to help when I went in yesterday. The pharmacy is short staffed and I rushed there after work to find a very long line. I waited and got through. Needed something for my daughter so of course I did. Some of the customers in this area should be absolutely ASHAMED of the way they were treating these employees. They were trying to cut off the line for the pharmacy so they could let those employees yanno, go home to their families. I saw adults skipping line, trying to sneak by, yelling at the poor people just doing their job. Have some GRACE you guys. Guess what? I waited in the line twice because that’s just what you do in a civilized community. So be one and do better.“

“Such a cute and cozy space filled with natural light on Charleston's west side / "Elk City." I was looking for a place to work for a couple hours while visiting town and this was a nice place to post up. I only had coffee during my visit which was fairly decent. They have a lovely menu ft. Breakfast, lunch and pastries. They seem to have a fair amount of healthy options, too, which is always appreciative. Definitely check them out for breakfast, lunch or a cozy place to work. They recently opened an adjoined marketplace next door which looks adorable and like a great place to find unique holiday gifts.“

“We love Rock City Bakery. We lived in Gettysburg and my husband always insists on making this part of our trip, dragging other family members and anyone else who’s never been yet. Its a unique experience. Its a little bit bakery, little bit music venue with pop culture memorabilia sprinkled on top.They have an insane variety and quantity of baked goods during events and holidays. We went after Valentines Day last week and they had a countertop of sale items. We got puff pastries, brownies, cake pops, cake push ups, long johns, fruit covered cheesecake and my favorite, the fruit pizza. They were stocking the cake display with custom made cakes for birthdays that were so cute! The staff there have always been friendly and fun to joke around with.They also have bands now and then as well as comfortable seating. Its a nice place to take a book or to catch up on remote work while having a snack. We’ve never ordered drinks while, but if they dont have coffee, Taylor Books down the street has some. The library is across the street. Everything you need to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon.Definitely a place we come back to over and over.Kid-friendliness: We always come with a full crew of littles. They are always friendly and talk to themWheelchair accessibility: I am disabled and bring my service dog in with me when we come. No stairs, comfortable chairs and couchwith coffee table.“

“Really excellent bakery that specializes in a variety of breads (obviously), but also carries cookies, biscotti, muffins, coffee cakes, pastas and more.The location is obviously a work space and it's fun to see various staff working on a variety of goods. I love popping by any time I'm in charleston.“

“Oh my gosh, Terri is a cake magician! I still can’t believe how amazingly delicious all of her sweets are. She made the cake, cupcakes, and cookies for our wedding. She was one of the first vendors I knew I had to have, as I got to have one of her cupcakes at another wedding several years ago. As soon as I tasted that cupcake, I was determined to have that same cake at my own wedding (I wasn’t even engaged at the time). The cake, cupcakes, and cookies were just as delicious as that first cupcake, if not even better. Everything she makes is the best thing you’ll ever taste. She is also just the sweetest person to work with. She wants to make all of your cake dreams come true and will work with you to figure out how to get as close to that as possible. The way she set up our dessert and cake tables was so adorable, too. She’s just amazing at what she does! I only wish I lived closer and could get treats from her more often!“

“We had the best experience with Montanaro Cakery for a family baby shower this weekend. They took my inspiration pics and made them come to life!! the macarons were stunning and delicious. Their customer service was 10/10 and we will definitely be using them again! ❤️“

“I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday. It was beautiful and delicious but I was disappointed that they didn't get happy birthday on the cake with my daughters name. I specifically asked for that at least twice in email. The whole email ordering process did not feel smooth and I don't think I was asking for much. Responses took days over the course of a few emails. I got the vibe that they didn’t care about me as a customer.“

“2 cakes in a week that were amazing. There was a tornado and they still had it ready. Then a mess up on our behalf about the date when we needed it. These ladies came through and had the cake ready within 4 HOURS!!! Will ALWAYS have our business and support!!!“

“Picked up a chicken dinner, roasted veggies and some odds and ends including mini pies and cupcakes. This fed a family of five and was absolutely delicious. The chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection and if you love vegetables they serve up a perfect medley. Lastly, any dessert I've ever bought was the best I've had anywhere. Hands down. PS if you like coconut creme pie, try Sarah's - it's out of this world good.“

“This place has the best donuts in town! There is always a good selection, the prices are decent, & the employees actually seem to like their jobs & are friendly to customers. That is a very refreshing change from that new drive thru DD donut place up on Oakwood or the other drive thru donut joint in S. Charleston. Donut Connection has been in business at this Kanawha City location for a long time & they definitely know how to do donuts right!“

“One of my favorite places to sit down and eat, the waitresses are always super friendly and inviting. Their food is also great, (affordable as well) they have quite a few options, the famous gyro has to be my favorite. I recommend this place to all my friends and anyone that is reading this, A1!“
