“We ordered the meat lovers calzone and lemon pepper wings. They were both delicious, I couldn't even eat all of mine so had to get a to go box. It was a small pizza hut but nice little place. The down side is very small parking lot so not much room if you have a big truck.“
“A little piece of Italy is nestled behind an East Main Street sign that beckons me, “Mama’s Brick Oven Pies & Pastas.” I figured it was worth a shot. I was greeted in the warmest way and felt like I’d made a great choice before I even had a menu in my hand. Fresh pizza by the slice was on display and was ever so tempting, but I’m a sucker for pasta. The owner escorted me to a table and handed me a menu. The options for a lunch special pasta dish were so plentiful, I needed some help deciding. I started telling my new Italian friend all the things that I liked, and he said, “Try the eggplant parmigiana!”That turned out to be an epic recommendation! My lunch started with a fresh salad and some rolls that were topped with melted butter and fresh crushed garlic. When my entree was presented, I knew that I hadn’t been steered wrong. A crispy, thick sliced piece of eggplant was peaking out from under a thick, spicy sauce. Melted cheese with a sprinkle of fresh parsley greeted me, “Hellooooo Sailor.” I should’ve taken a picture, but I was beguiled. One bite and there was never a thought about stopping to take a picture. What can I say but COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!“
